More discussion with Kimmy, JD, and our special guest Andrew! We discuss District 13 and it’s secrets, how the games would have gone down if Prim had been the tribute, and discuss your opinions on what makes the Hunger Games so terrible. We also include some discussions on merchandise, if we would find the Hunger Games entertaining to watch, and touch on which actor should play Katniss in the Hunger Games movie. We ramble on a lot, so there is a whole lot to listen to in this episode, I hope you enjoy it!

This episode is being reposted due to it randomly disspearing off of iTunes. Very strange!

It was great. I have also wondered what happened to the rest of the world. Maybe it’s nothing more…

Actually in The Hunger Games (somewhere in the first pages) it is stated something about floods, fires and natural disasters that took down a lot of the land on Earth. ![]()

Cool podcast. I just about died when I found out the 3rd book wasn’t coming out until next fall. After finishing catching fire all you want to do is read more!!!
Anyway I thought you guys might be interested in a cool interview I found on YouTube with Suzanne Collins. You get a lot of questions answered, and learn about the author a little more! Check it out!

In quarter quells, it’s not always double the tributes. That was just the year Haymitch was in. Every quarter quell, it’s just an enhanced, if you will, hunger games. So when haymitch’s was enhanced by putting in doulble the tributes. In catching fire, the enhancement is that all the earlier tributes come back.

isnt katniss naked like 10 times throughout the 2 books? that would be very difficult to make a pg13 movie out of

Yeah it would be hard to make Catching Fire pg 13 considering Johanna Mason always seems to walk around naked.

I would like to fix the stuff about the quarter quell. The quarter quell is just a special catch every 25 years. The first time people voted on the tributes. The second quarter quell was when there were twice as many people. Then when katniss goes in for the 75th hunger games the tributes are all victors, but it is the same amount of tributes.

Haha, when I first listened to this episode I has just been listening to Mugglecast and I was still thinking about it so Kimmy said something like “We have a special guest, Andrew,” and Andrew said hi or something and I was like “Whoa, deja vu! No way!” and then Kimmy said, “You might know Andrew from Mugglecast and Imprint” and I was amazed.
Keep up the great work Jabberjays!

@Leanne- If they even THINK about casting Kristen Stewart then the riots and protests will probably rip apart the continent and create Panem or something.

no it happens every 25 years. when haymich went it was the quater quell and it was doubble. quater quell is more grusome. to the capitol it was a twist.
