imagine the movie: Katniss has just borded the train, watching everybody from the capitol wave and smile. She is looking out the window, having flashbacks of home, the boy with the bread, her future competition, and then (if it made sense enough, which it doesn’t) she wakes up from the terrible nightmares of what lays ahead…. and this song would be in the background. Great choice!

i think its AMAZING!!! im kinda sleep-deprived-slap-happy right now but ive gotta try to relay my thoghts cuz its well..amazing!! I think all tributes can relate to this song cuz this is how they all felt at least once, no matter how tough they appear to be. They want to break down and just stop thinking about the games and how they will kill the next person. they keep wishing that they would be able to stay alive to hear the next roar of the anthem.

I really hope i made sence cuz i dont want to confuse people!!

o and im sorry that i say “Cuz” alot!!

I totally agree.
I never would have thought of Jack Johnson and the Hunger Games in the same sentence… but that’s kinda cool! His voice is sort of impassive, or it has a go-with-the-flow feel. Since everything in Katniss’s life seems to be falling apart (and being controled by the Capitol) she has to keep smiling when inside she justs wants to, well, breakdown.

COOL. I would have never thought of a Jack Johnson song having anything to do with the hunger games but it totally works. I like the train part since it’s the train that brings them to the games. This immovable force that the tributes have no control over which could metaphorically represent how the government forces them to go to the game. And it would be great if the train, or the corrupt government would just break down. Nice one.
