Welcome to Mockingjay.net, the most visited source on the web dedicated to the Hunger Games! We were founded in July of 2009, before the title of the third book had been announced. We're here to have fun with other Hunger Games fans with discussion, contests, the Jabberjays podcast, and an up to date news blog that covers anything related to the books or the upcoming film that is being made by Lionsgate.

Thanks so much for all of the compliments on my tattoo. I know, I know. It’s crazy and extreme…but that’s me. I’m a girl who does things on a whim…and I’m impulsive. When I love something, I love it to the 1000th degree. I just can’t help it. The tattoo (as I stated on Facebook) was taken directly from this site and tweaked a little by my tattoo guy. I need to post a new pic, because this one was taken right after it was finished and it is soooo red. It did hurt, but it’s not my first tattoo, so I nothing I’m not used to. I have a twilight tattoo too…and one other that is not based off of any book or fictional character. LOL. Thanks again for the compliments. |

What is your Twilight tatoo of? |
| by jennykate in February 21 - 10:12 pm |
My Twilight tattoo is an apple with the phrase “frequently dazzled” in the Be Safe font from the book. You can see it on my blog @ http://jennykate77.blogspot.com/2009/06/weekend-re-cap-and-tatoo-pic.html Again, it’s not the best pic and was taken right after it was finished, but you can at least see what it looks like. |

I was thinking of getting one of these, a few weeks ago. But I’m not to sure, does it hurt? well obviously yeah but I mean like really hurt? But then again Im doing the pain for Katniss or Rue (Im really that sad lol) |

Well I certainly hope the third book is good for your sake! |
| by JEZZ in December 15 - 11:51 pm |
how much did it cost you? because im planning to get one |

Actually I think a tattoo wasn’t such a great idea, I mean, considering the fact that there were so many tattoos in the Capitol… wouldn’t it be just ironic to get a tattoo that’s claiming to be the absolute opposite to the capitol? I mean, Katniss and Pitta are supposed to hate tattoos and all those stuff |
| by maria in September 18 - 9:37 am |
Katie- good thinking but I don’t agree 100%. The Capitol tattoos were more decorative than meaningful and I always pictured them as simply colorful stripes or other shapes to complement ones features or just the coloring of the skin. Like Octavia’s light green skin and Venia’s gold tattoos…. Actually, I wanted to get a mockingjay tattoo and was googling possible designs when I found this. I’m really excited that other people had the same idea as me!! Well dome Jenny and love from Greece! |
