My current literary obsession… “The Hunger Games” trilogy, by author Suzanne Collins… I’m only half way through book 1 and I already love it! And after I learned there are plans for a movie, I had to put 2 and 2 together! You know me… books + movies = some crazy obsessive Photoshopping!

Oh my goodness — I LOVE THIS! Best fanmade poster I’ve seen thus far.

(I also adore that the artist put actor credits at the bottom. Besides the Katniss choice of Jessica Stroup, there are the choices of Philip Seymour Hoffman as Haymitch, William Moseley as Peeta, Ben Barnes as Gale, Lauren Graham as — Katniss’s mom, I assume? — and Kristin Chenoweth as Effie? Fun, fun. I don’t know if I agree with all of them, but Kristin Chenoweth as Effie would be welcome. She would be perfectly bubbly. I don’t know why I didn’t think of that one before!)

Beautiful artwork. I love it. The fact that she is holding a torch, something someone would use to ‘light their way’ just makes it so much better. Katniss does use that fact that she is the ‘Girl who was on fire’ as her Light in the Darkness, and from there she went on to be a Phoenix, growing out of her own ashes. This may not have been meant to mean any of what I’m blabbering about, but that is what I see.

ohmigosh, i had to read the comments and the note by the person for me to realize that that wasnt the real cover… i feel so smart. It doesnt look exactly like i thought Katniss would, but pretty darn close, they should definatly use something like this for the real cover.
My oppinion?
Amazing.
