After a long absence, we’re back! In this episode we talk about about our the fears we have, and ones that you guys have submitted about the Hunger Games movie. Discussion points include the tone we hope the movie will have, what the movie needs to include to be a successful adaption, and more. We also let you know that our next episode will be our first chapter by chapter, on chapter 1. To make this successful we need you guys to email us everything that you took from the first chapter of the book. Grab it now, read it, and email us! If we use your email, we’ll mention your name in the podcast. We’ll try to use every email, if that’s possible! We let you guys know that we will never be gone for good, no matter how big of a break there is between podcasts. We are going to be following the Hunger Games to the big screen, and we’re in it for the long haul! I also apologize that we sound so tired in this podcast….I really hope our next one won’t sound like zombies!

guys, great podcast, we’ve been waiting for so long! gonna read some of the hunger games today and email my thoughts on the chapter. looking forward to hear your thoughts on it as well. and i agree with you, i hope they dont leave out the cruelty you know? i need them to keep the fights and the blood and everything! and you were talking about ages on the books, right? and you know, my mom is like 40, and im like 15, and we are both crazy about the books! so, i wouldnt say that the series have an age at all

Ohh Hunter Parrish is a good pick too. I don’t like Kaya, idk she just doesn’t look tough. Mitch Hewer would be a good Peeta!! Don’t you think? Katniss needs to be an unknown I believe.
I DON’T want that much gore! Seriously can they skimp it a little because I’ll be closing my eyes the whole time and I don’t wanna ever close my eyes! I can’t handle looking at too much blood! In Harry Potter 2 I close my eyes at the basilisk part…

well, this is the first poscast i’ve listened too but nice job and sry you are sooooo busy i’m only in 6th grade and i’m only twelve and i love thg. i dont want it to turn out like twilight either. nice thoughts you guys dont need to update the picture of the site though i think it looks awesome.

I think Robert Downey Jr. would be a very good Haymitch because first of all we need some big people in this movie so it can get some publicity and be out there, u know and also, Haymitch isn’t supposed to be fat, he is just supposed to have a beer belly or a pot belly or whatever u wanna call it because in the book she describes him as paunchy which means exactly what i just said
I think u guys were rambling a bit in this podcast…it seemed almost as if u didn’t really have much to talk about…but anyways i guess it’s because u guys are always really tired, right?
so hopefully it’ll be better in the summer
And i don’t think they will turn it into a twilight type thing because i don’t think that the romance part is so huge that it can attract huge audiences, or at least it wasn’t for me it was the whole idea of the dystopian post-apocalyptic scenario that really pulled me into the book and of course the whole idea of the Hunger Games too

Yes there is a movie being made right now…Collins is working on the script herself and yes i agree with Logan K. I think Gale will die because he seems kinda extra right now and i apologize to the people of Team Gale but we should be able to tell by now that Katniss will end up with Peeta…I think that Collins will show Gale more in the next book but in the end he will die and that will be very tragic since for the reader they will learn more about Gale IN that book so if he dies at the end of THAT book, it will be very tragic….just saying i think it would be good finish to the seires..

I can not wait! I am so excited. If this movie turns out like the other movies directed by Nina Jacobson then this will ROAR with life! I want to know when Casting calls go out though! ^,^ Have to try my hand at it. I picture Katnsis and Peeta complete opposites. Gale and Katnsis too alike. In the book they were misunderstood as being related to eachother. Never know…You never know.

I think it would make it more tragic if you killed Gale because Katniss will be extremely,, ah well you’d know. then she’d still have to deal with the capitol, and the revolutions and all.

I’m 12 and I love THG. I totally agree about the whole Twilight “teen-boppy” thing. I read that series like, a whole year before the movie came out and the whole love triangle was publicized. I would HATE for that to happen to THG!!! It would be like…guys, I knew about this series and was a fan even before the movie… P.S. I think if Johnny Depp was a little chubbier, I would love to see him as Haymitch.

i think Peeta will live i mean if i knew he didn’t i would not buy the book i would be so mad and i know that there r a lot of people that only like it because there is romance in it and if she ended it i think there would be no purpose for the book.

I think the problem with if it was on the breach of R is now days everything is about Sexual appeal. So if they did R then they might take the cave scenes or train scenes with Peeta and Katniss they might make it more like Twilight with the sexual apeeal.

I think kaya would be good as katness.everyone try going to youtube and search angel-of -wolves all in 1 word and also type cast for hunger games so it woulde be. angelofwolves cast for hunger games. her cast is really good.
