WOW! That’s hard to choose from…um…let me think….Nicjorgi was right, that IS a good one, but I also love (and this is more than one sentance) “I curl up on my side and stare at the patches of moonlight on the cement floor. Back in the arena. Back in the place of nightmares.” I think it really shows the emotions and horror running hrough Katniss’s head at that moment.

It crosses my mind that Cinna’s calm and normal demeanor masks a complete madman. ~Katniss

Cat Lady’s was one of my fav.s (Katniss talking about the place of nightmares). I also love: “My knees give way and he’s holding me up. As the alcohol overcomes my mind, I hear the glass bottle shatter on the floor. This seems appropriate since I have obviously lost my grip on everything.” ~Katniss, Catching Fire, page 179. I could go on, but everyone already knows there are too many good lines 2 count … xD Both in THG and CF

Oh my gosh, there are sooo many! The first one that popped into my mind, though was,
“You here to finnish me off, sweetheart?”
In that moment it was like, wahoo! Katniss found Peeta! I totally didn’t expect it right then so it was just so exciting!
Then, I don’t remember exactly, but it was right after Peeta fell asleep with the stuff Katniss gave him so she could go get the medicine from the feast,
“Who said I’m a bad liar?”
Again, that’s probably not exactly right.

I don’t hay a favorite line in the series but i like when Johanna is making small talk with peeta in the elevator while she is nude and katniss is right there.:CF

This is SOOOO unrelated, but my sister and I laughed so hard! In the first book when Katniss and Peeta are in the cave-thing. They get a pot of soup. She then has to go and get whatever is in the pack at the Feast. I was reading it too my sister, and when she opens the pack I said, “and inside the pack was… a spoon!” My sister was sooo confused. I said, “You know, when they got the soup, the spoon was not included…” So now the code name for the series is Spoon. We laughed sooooooo hard!

It’s on page 122. I think it really describes Katniss. Plus, it’s relatable.

One of my favorite parts in THG is one pg312 when Katniss and Peeta are eating:
Katniss: I can feel Effie Trinket shuddering at my manners.
Peeta: Hey Effie, watch this! (procedures to lick plate clean.) We miss you Effie!
It made me laugh
In CF:
That whole “getting the goat knocked up” scene made my laugh. (pg155-157).
Katniss: I guess this is a bad time to mention I hung a dummy and painted Seneca Crane’s name on it.
Cinna: You…hung…Seneca Crane? (pg241)
Wiress: Tick, tock. Tick, tock.
Johanna: Yeah, we know. Tick, tock. Nuts is in shock. (pg320)

!st i like to say that i am and always will be tean GALE! i knew since i opend the book and got to the part where Katniss and him were in the woods that they were meant to be together!! i knew that he loved her but she couldnt tell because she didnt know that there was something there! and when she was in the room and he was going to tell her that he loved her before they pulled him away i was just mad! and so what if he cant show her that he loves her! if he does then the capitol would know that she is not realy in too peeta and they could kill her and her family…they need to show more of Gales love for Katniss on the 3rd book..if in the end Katniss and Peeta end up together i would be so mad becuse then she would be doing what the capitol wants her to be with and the book is about going agesnt everything the capitol tells them to do!
and Gale has protected her family since she left for the games that shows that he would do anything for her he can protect her..
in the end of book 2 he saved her family form being killed in District 12 .. that alone shows how much he loves her..and would do anything for her…

There are a lot of favorites for me, but I think I’ll put one no one has said yet, even though it’s a bit late to respond. My favorite is the scene in CF where the morphling is dying and Peeta is talking to her. It made me cry.

I don’t remember the exact quote, but it’s when Gale and Katniss are just talking in the beginning of The Hunger Games and Gale talks about killing humans and animals and says, “How different are they really?” Oooh, I got shivers.
