Waking up at the start of the end of the world,
But its feeling just like every morning before,
Now I wonder what my life is going to mean if its gone,
The cars are moving like a half a mile an hour if that
I started staring at the passengers waving goodbye
Can you tell me what was ever really special about me all this time[chorus]
But I believe the world is burning to the ground
Oh well I guess we’re gonna find out
Let’s see how far we’ve come
Let’s see how far we’ve comeWell I, believe, its all, coming to an end
Oh well, I guess, we’re gonna pretend,
Let’s see how far we’ve come
Let’s see how far we’ve comeI think its turning to a crock but I don’t really know
I can’t remember caring for an hour or so
Started crying and I couldn’t stop myself
I started running but there was no where to run to
I sat down on the street and took a look at myself
Said where you going you know the world is heading for hell
Say your goodbyes if you’ve got someone you can say goodbye to

It’s a good song for the Hunger Games. It’s also just a good song.

It kind of reminds me of when Katniss realized she was going into the arena again.
Good song.

Love this song!
How many of you guys imagined Gale Hawthorne rocking out to this with his coal-mining crew?
Just me? … As usual. D:

At first I wasn’t sure about it….but then when I listened to it…i thought that this would be very good at the ending credits of the movie, like when Katniss and Peeta walk off the train…the song would start and lead into the credits. Yea…i think about that stuff

Jabberjay,
I see what you mean. Like, while they’re doing the dialogue for that scene, the music will start to fade in, and when they’re walking off, it’s the chorus. Right?

I agree with jabberjay it should play when Katniss and Peeta are holding hands walking off the train.

I think the part that struck me the most was
“Started crying and I couldn’t stop myself
I started running but there was no where to run to”
That’s what reminded me of the announcement of the Quarter Quell and Katniss’ response.
But I do see what you guys are saying. ![]()

@Carrie-
Up at the top in the header underneath “HOME” is “CONTACT”. From there it’s pretty much self-explanatory. ![]()

this song actually reminded me of something they were talking about in the podcasts. they were saying how even though it’s in the future, it seems like in the districts they’ve gone backwards technology-wise. and well, that even though the Capitol has futuristic technology, their systems and morales are all very barbaric and well, i dunno the word…like ancient?? well Suzanne Collins actually said the story was based around some myth, so that makes sense. but yeh, you probably have NO idea what im talking about, but if you do then.. yeh
sorry for the rambling, i just didnt know how to put it xD

this actually makes me think of Catching Fire, seeing how far Katniss and Peeta’s relationship has developed. The first stanza would be on the train, the whole bit about the clock is the 2nd arena, and the “started crying and I couldn’t stop myself”- when Peeta hit the force field! the “no where to run to”- the jabberjays. and the saying goodbyes, how Katniss was put on the train without having the time to say goodbye to everyone she loves.
