The Girl Who Was on Fire: Your Favorite Authors on Suzanne Collins’ Hunger Games Trilogy

The Girl Who Was on Fire: Your Favorite Authors on Suzanne Collins’ Hunger Games Trilogy” – Leah Wilson (Editor)
Praised by writers from Stephen King to Stephenie Meyer, Suzanne Collins’ New York Times bestselling Hunger Games trilogy is dark, captivating, and deeply thought-provoking. Part straight-up survivalist adventure, part rich allegory, and part political thriller, the series has become a new YA favorite. A film version of the first book, The Hunger Games, is in development for release in 2011.
The Girl Who Was On Fire offers even more to think about for teen readers already engrossed by the Hunger Games. From the trilogy’s darker themes of violence and social control to reality television, romance, and the thrill of survival, the collection’s exploration of the Hunger Games by other YA writers reveals exactly how rich, and how perilous, protagonist Katniss’ world really is.
The Girl Who Was On Fire covers all three books in the Hunger Games trilogy.
You can pre-order this upcoming book HERE! I’m pretty sure this is not affiliated with Scholastic, just an unofficial discussion-type book. I wonder which authors will be included in this book? Obviously part of it hasn’t been written since ‘Mockingjay isn’t out.

Cool!
That sounds cool. I so want my hands on one of those!
Seems interesting enough. And perhaps the authors who have written this book have already read Mockingjay. I mean I’d assume Stephen King and Stephenie Meyer may be included, giving their praise for the series, and considering their position, I wouldn’t see how they don’t have a copy yet!
Cool, i am so getting it. But what really got me excited was when it said that the hunger games is in the development for release in 2011! I mean, I knew that they were making a movie and everything, but now we know that it’s OFFICIALLY in development! *squeal*
I’M SO EXCITED!!!
all i can say is sweet!
That is so awesome, I can’t wait for them both come out!
Can’t wait to read this!!!!!!!!
yay!
*hAPPY dANCE*
Oh,cool,it’s like Demigods and Monsters or Mind-Rain(or something like that)collections about the Percy Jackson series and Uglies, respectively.*sigh*One more thing to earn…
Wow! That sounds excellent considering that I can’t seem to get enough of HG!
@katnissthaliamaxzoey r u seriously comparing the hunger games to Percy Jackson? Ugh, i hate when people do that. That and twilight. Well, at least the twilight books were good, unlike the Percy Jackson series.
Interesting….
omg custard nerdfighters haha this sounds cool but not enough to preordder it
Ooh! I want it!!!
AWESOME!! This sounds really interesting!!!
@Mrs. Peeta Mellark, are you seriously implying that I compared Percy Jackson to The Hunger Games? No,I did not.I just said there’s a book like this one coming out,but with essays about Percy Jackson-related topics. And,Percy Jackson is way better than Twilight, you must have only seen the movie. You are sadly mistaken and you need grammar lessons. That is all.
KTMZ out!
I’ve read something like this for Harry Potter, and it was very good, so I’m excited for this!
@katnissthaliamaxzoey ok, i’m really sorry for being harsh, and i respect ur opinion. But when someone makes fun of my grammatical skills, i don’t let that slide. First of all, my grammar looks really bad, cuz i’m typing really fast AND i like to shorten my words, not cuz i’m a retard in grammar!
oh and btw, i didnt even see the percy jackson movie, i only read the series, SO THERE!
I am going to be one of the authors for this anthology. Due date is mid-September so all contributing authors can read #3 before finishing essays.
@linda joy singleton oh my goodness! You’re an actual author? What books did u write?
@Mrs. Peeta Mellark:I’m sorry for being harsh about your grammar and other stuff.Percy Jackson is better than Twilight though.
