Not for Katniss but I’m glad shes a fan of the books and it shouldn’t be held aginst her that she had a small part in Twilight. She sounds like a genuine fan but in my mind she simply doesn’t look the part of Katniss…….but its great shes interested maybe she can be in the movies as another tribute or something…

I think she has a Katniss look to her but I’m not convinced she could pull off the part. I thought it was dumb when she said that Kaya was “too old” because she was 18. I mean if anything Kaya looks more 16 than Jodelle does. Jodelle looks more like she is 14. I thought that was a little ignorant especially since twenty somethings play teenagers all the time. 18 isn’t THAT big of an age gap.

Okay, Im gonna be honest here, If she were to get the part as Katniss I wouldnt mind at all! Her character in Twilight wasnt even that big. Personally, I believe that every deserves and equal chance at Katniss, whether they are from Twilight or not. The only problem with Jodelle is that she CAN’T ACT. She’s HORRIBLE and she looks like she’s 8. I’m not judging her based on her sliver of a role in Eclipse, but on the projects she has done beforehand (all of which were sucked I might add).

If either Jodelle, Lyndsy or Kaya gets cast as Katniss, I won’t go see the film.

I think Twi actors shouldn’t be part of another saga. Since this Stephenie Meyer said she loves the books too, those Twilighters do follow her like “Oh, if Meyer likes it we also do like it”. Maybe, in your opinion. Maybe you haven’t read the descriptions of her as I have. I’m saying that when I was reading the books (the multiple times I have) the Katniss that I imagined is closest in appearance to Jodelle. She isn’t spot on but I have not seen any other actress that comes close to the Katniss I imagine reading the books. Many of the actresses mentioned are way to ‘Hollywood’ or ‘pretty-pretty’ (overly, stereotypical attractive) while Jodelle has the unique and uncommon beauty that I imagined Katniss having. =]

Wow, I honestly can’t believe all of the haters out there. Sure, I want an unknown to play Katniss as much as anything, and I would LOVE to audition myself, but reading this interview makes me Team Jodelle 100%

The main reason I want an unknown is to give someone the chance to reach stardom and the fact that they might already be a HG fan. Jodelle sounds PERFECT–despite not being an unknown. She hasn’t reached that crazy Miley Cyrus hype, yet, so she’s still a good choice, in my opinion.

She’s actually the best one I’ve seen so far. And she’s not a total fake like some others I’ve seen who say “OMG I would love to play Katniss.” and then we all find out that they haven’t even read the book(s) yet. Jodelle at least has waited for Mockingjay like the rest of us as a fan. What more could you ask for in a Katniss?

Okay, now that being said – I’m a HUGE Twilight fan but I’d seen this girl’s face BEFORE she was in Eclipse and when I read THG I thought “omg I know this girl that’s perfect”. Hollywood can pull a lot and considering this is a Lionsgate film – they’ll have whatever funding is necessary! All the nay-sayers who are “she’s too sweet”…half of you are saying Kaya is PERFECT for this role. Well, no offense, for someone like her to put up ON TWITTER that she’d read over a script (even though her agent then made a statement claiming she hadn’t) was a STUPID move on her part. That can easily get you kicked from even getting a real shot at an audition. Kaya looks just as “sweet” as Jodelle in some of her photos, but Kaya is TOO old for the part (yea, I realize that even Cory Monteith plays the part of a high schooler) but Jodelle brings that innocence and also the “I don’t think I’m the most gorgeous person out there” attitude. Plus, she’s actually a fan of the books. Okay so maybe she wasn’t from the get go (heck, even I didn’t know about them til this year) but she got THG on the way home from the Eclipse Premiere because a few of us (myself included) asked if she were offered an audition for this, would she do it…which reminded her to get the books because she’s been asked by a lot of people! Thankfully she got them. Jodelle really is a great person, and I’ve gotten the opportunity on more then one occasion to talk to her. She’s passionate about this and if she gets an audition – they’ll be able to see that. So many actors/actresses are out there just to hound for the money – whereas, Jodelle isn’t. She actually ENJOYS acting without pretense. For that, she’s amazing.

Besides not having some of the facial features of Katniss, her face just looks to soft. Like you’d expect her to be more similar to Rue or Prim than Katniss. But I don’t think that she could play either because of the age difference. But personaly I don’t care what movie they’ve been in before as long as they can play the part well.
