Hailee Steinfeld Met With Hunger Games Director, Gary Ross

Steinfeld has been one of the names in consideration for the coveted role of Katniss Everdeen. The young actress told us she has “a lot of projects that we’re looking at the moment,” but she also confirmed that she has met with “Hunger Games” director Gary Ross.
“It’s definitely something that we’re taking one day at a time and making sure that everything is in place,” Steinfeld said of her possible casting as the film’s heroine.

Usually an actress meeting with the director of a film is a pretty big deal. Usually in a big budget film the actresses auditioning don’t meet the director unless they are heavily favored for the part.

yeh um no……and besides based on recent post it is pretty obvious that jennifer will be most likely getting the role and it could just be me but she didnt seem all that interested in THG movie….she was like yeh i guess but i have also gotten lots of other choices so i think that was her safe way of saying i am considering something else……and as i have said before her age would screw up the rest of the casting choices and they said they are looking for like 15-16yr old up so she’s too young(even if its just by a year)sorry hailee fans

Ok guys, everyone needs to actually consider the acting part of this. everyone is worried only about her age, not how she will perform! her acting is outstanding, and for that, she deserves to be katniss, not to metion that she does look like a good katniss!

I totally agree how dare he/she say that about Peeta. On the other hand just cuz Peeta is a stud-muffin dosnt mean theyll put in a sex or makeout scene. Katniss and Peeta kiss not make out or the other thing ’til the epilogue. Take a deep breath and chill. A2 is a retard who is jealous of Peeta.

I think she could do it. You don’t have to be naturally fierce looking to play the part. The angst over who will be playing her though, it’s unbearable! But I feel like it they will do a good job… couldn’t be casted as terrible as Kirsten Stewart for Bella in Twilight (just an example, definitely not comparing Twilight to Hunger Games in any way!). That was just a disaster -__-
