Need I remind anyone of Kiera Knightly’s chest in Pirates of the Caribbean?? Everyone with eyes could see those weren’t real! It was all about makeup and shadowing, etc.

if they can make someone with virtually NO chest at all look like they’re four sizes bigger, then they can definitely make someone with a moderate chest look like they’re flatter. have a little faith, people.

And, just as a side note: The fact that you guys are hating on Jennifer just because the girl has big boobs is kind of pathetic.

sorry, not a big fan…. she really doesnt look at all like katniss to me…. i really hope that she doesnt look anything like this in the movie.

@Mayla REALLY!? hmm… i never knew that!! although i don’t know much about popular culture… or paid much attention to her chest… or seen the movies… but i just looked her up and compared her to, well, her, and i want ot say THANK YOU for that! i started not to care about her chest, actually, because what’s really important is that she can actually play the character well.

@Someone: YEAH! They put makeup on her chest an everything so her chest looked way bigger. And YOU’RE WELCOME for providing such incredible insight to the talents of Hollywood. I am happy to be of service to someone who is so fascinated by someone’s ability to put on makeup.
And yeah, they can do it to Jennifer, too, so she can look more like Katniss! =) So there’s NO NEED to worry about it!

And just for the record, it is important that Jennifer can play the character well, but that wasn’t my point. I was just saying that people need to stop hating on her because of her bra size, but if they’re really THAT concerned about it, they need to remember that Hollywood can make magic. There’s no need to be an asshole about it.

I don’t know if those of you who are judging her cup-size are referring to her cup-size in the picture or her cup-size in real life so I’m going to go ahead and address both:

Wow….okay. This conversation is getting towards just plain stupid. The girl has a big chest, but it can be fixed, and like “Someone” said, the important thing is that she can play the character well…Now…everybody just drop it, sit back, and wait for them to cast Peeta.

Hello everybody, THANKS A LOT for the appreciation. I know this isn’t perfect, but I’ve worked on it about 6 hours, so I’m quite proud of it There are about 1.000 things I would change about this pic, but what I like about it is that shows me how Jen would look with dark hair and tanned skin and a bow I’m REALLY glad you like it too.
Refering to her breasts, I know that those in the picture seem quite large, BUT – I used an image of Jodelle Ferland for her upper body, and Jodelle is far from being big-breasted in my opinion, so you can see how much can a little Photoshop change things. On the other side, clothes and bras count a lot, so there’s place for a lot of manipulation…
To be honest, I’m REALLY REALLY happy that Katniss wasn’t rambling about how “chesty” she is in the book – I’ve read about many heroines that did that and it definitely turns me off
P.S. I’m starting to think that Jen is the best option there is… I have faith that she’ll be fantastic (although a little old for the part )

I appreciate the effort, but I think it might not have been the best decision to use the infamous Jodelle twitter picture. Everyone’s too familiar with it, so it really stands out as a manip.

Can I please just add to all you ‘haters’ saying how Jen is too old, looks too old, do you really think that Katniss would look like a normal 16 year old girl? She would look older (not that Jen looks old at all) and act older. She (Katniss) has been through a lot and has had to grow up faster.

But anyway the picture looks awesome.

@ Kara There’s a difference between physically being grown up and having a greater level of maturity, that makes her act older. It says in the books that she is small for her age, and she’s had such bad nutrition for her entire life there’s no way she would look older.

I’m not hating, just saying.

@Katara: I know it says that Katniss is small for her age, but I always thought that starvation made someone look older than they were, not younger. As far as being physically thin, well yeah, duh, she’s gonna look smaller. But in the face? I always pictured her as older…Anyways, I could be wrong. Just a thought.

Alright, so all of the little details about Katniss’ looks are getting really confusing and I understand that discussions about it are going to be never-ending. But there is a way of putting makeup on a person’s face to make them look sickly, thinner, and malnourished. Especially at the cheek bones and under the eyes.

I am getting so annoyed with HG fans!! Lets support the actress who is playing our heroin and stop nitpicking her to death! She in no way needs to lose weight. She is a healthy girl and, I for one, would prefer she stay healthy. They can bind her chest if the producers think it is that important for her to look flat chested adn that will also make her look younger. She is a wonderful actress and can handle the role! Suzanne is behind her! Lets get behind her as well! And btw, a normal diet where she loses 10-15 pounds would not change her face shape or her breast size. Her body would just be thinner than it already is.

Oh btw, if I came off sounding like I was cuttig down Jennifer’s appearance in any way, I didn’t mean to. I’m actually very satisfied with her being Katniss. I was trying to figure out a way to comfort those who feel like her looks do not match the book’s description of her.

I agree, Jennifer looks healthy. While many great actors have lost weight for roles in films (Cast Away, Seabiscuit, Black Swan, etc) because it was important for the story/character, I’d hate to see Jennifer lose weight when she looks beautiful as she is. That’s why I was saying that makeup will help to make her look less healthy like Katniss.

But anyway…I’m excited to see more fanart posted.

Almost all of the boys and at least half of the girls are bigger than I am, even though many of the tributes have never been fed properly. You can see it in their bones, their skin, the hollow look in their eyes. I may be smaller naturally, but overall my family’s resourcefulness has given me an edge in that area. I stand straight, and while I’m thin, I’m strong. The meat and plants from the woods combined with the exertion it took to get them have given me a healthier body than most of those I see around me.

@Renee Pauline: OH MY GOSH I’ve been looking for that quote for AGES. Thank you for finding it. I knew that Katniss described herself as healthier than most people but I could never find the quote to back it up. =)

So JUST SO EVERYONE CAN SEE, Katniss is supposed to be healthier than the other tributes.

@Waverly. She’s healthier than the no-names. I’m sure it won’t be hard to get a bunch of extras who look malnourished next to Jen Lawrence. The problem is that the Careers and Thresh have to look way more physically imposing than Katniss.

Her body shape isn’t going to change. Just keep in mind that it’s not like there’s an actual Katniss that exists. And even if there was someone who resembled Katniss EXACTLY, doesn’t mean they could act half as good as Jenn. Make do with what you’re given people.
