wow, im totally shocked by the entire cast they picked! i seriously wouldn’t have guessed ANY of these actors for the roles.

read my post again. I never said that the movie will be bad. if there’s something I’m positive is that with the trailer and the marketing it’s going to be a huge box office success. all I’m saying is that they will change a lot. Just peeta’s casting proves that we will have a soft peeta and that possibly they will downplay the fake romance and focus in the action instead. I really enjoy having conversation about the movie that are not only the usual expected bantering “i don’t like it” “either like it or shut up” “The hair color” “”They’ll die their hair”

The filming starts May 22, I bet you that they already casted everyone already and they are just taking their time to announce the rest.
Haymitch was supposed to be around 38 or 40 at most but I think Reilly is not that bad.
What do you expect in a HG movie? If you tell me good acting well Jennifer and possible Reilly will prove themselves worthy and you will like the movie. If you are expecting that they don’t change much from the book don’t even see the movie. Just the 3 leads are prove that they will change a lot of things that might be your favorite parts or something that you don’t mind so much.
I’ll wait to read the comments of the true fans of the book before even consider if I’ll watch the movie or not.
And regarding suzanne collins, she
1) Is not casting everyone, we know she was at Peeta’s and Katniss catniss I don’t think she is casting everyone. Debra zane is the casting director not Suzanne.
2) Even if she has a say in casting she might be choosing the ones that she likes the most out of 4 or 5 options at most.
3) What she likes the most is not necessarly what we will like the most
I’m fan of her books and her talent but not of her involvement with her movie. Not because she claims to like them everyone will. Proof of that is the controversy. We don’t have to trust her since she could be working for the interest of Gary’s and her vision. Not the interests of the fanbase.
Again that doesn’t mean the movie will be bad. It means that you might not like some changes or might not care at all.
@Holly- i agree Haymitch does have a deeper role i was kinda just pointing out tht he does look the part and since i’ve never seen John play a particularly deep part i dont know how he’ll do. But i do trust SC so if we get John as haymitch i’ll be satisfied as long as she is at least until i see the movie myself
He does look the part of Haymitch in that photo in my opinion. I think he’ll be awesome. They wouldn’t have cast him if he wasn’t amazing.

eww! not john!!! he’s not at all how i pictured haymitch! i mean he could pull it off…but i’d rather have him in a different role. at least it’s not official yet!(:

They don’t care how you pictured the charactors, they just want the best actors that can portray the charactors!! I don’t think they would pick people just because they want to make everyone mad and ruin the movie. They want to make money so they’re gonna make this movie good!!!!

John was awesome as a moody, saracastic person in “The Vampire’s Assistant”
Yeah! I saw Vampires Assistant also! He had a real lazy yet “I-Don’t-Take-BS” attitude! Yet when it came to battle, he was serious and battle-some. I think that could really work for Haymitch!

This will be an interesting movie, and it’ll be interesting to see how these actors do
@Madge: NOOOO! I want Danielle Chuchran 4 Madge, so she gets a part in the movie. I WILL B SO ANGRY IF THEY CUT HER OUT! And what’s the deal with seneca crane? the only time u will see him is in the training centre! so they must have him fiddling with buttons, at the time with the berries and fireballs and stuff. So they must be getting creative; third person is going to be a huge part of this movie. I hope they don’t take away too much with the deaths of other tributes! I will find that distracting!!! I don’t watn to see how they die, no offense!!!
