When you have that dark hair, as josh hutcherson had, you can not dye your hair blonde in one try. that is not good for your hair, he probably have to go to the hair stylist more times to equally dye his hair until its the right color

It takes more than one treatment to highlight hair from dark brunette to blonde. He has not completed his transformation yet. Also, it’s never dye. That’s a bad word, no no. It’s color or tint for hair going darker and it’s highlight or lift for hair turning lighter. So please use the correct terms

I think he will get blonder. Josh seems a nice guy but I hope he is drinking a diet soda. He really is not strong enough and Peeta is much more than a Nice guy Peeta should get in the career pack, and excel in hand to hand combat. Seriously build up your muscles dude.

Come on people read the last few comments before you post. It seems like most people just want to get their opinions out there. How about let’s have a discussion! It would be a lot more interesting than every other post being: “it’s too brown”. Maybe if you read a few of the posts above you, you would have realized that many people have explained that his dark hair will have to be colored gradually.

@ Myra, I’ve been hoping he’ll bulk up for the role too. I always pictured Peeta with a strong upper body from hauling the flour sacks and bread trays. Let’s hope they’re filming the later arena scenes first, when everyone’s a little worn down and scrawny.

I actually was looking at his IMDB resume (like the other movies he’s been in) and I saw many things that made my heart go all soft inside like “I can’t hate this guy for Peeta! DX”
He was Markyl in the english version of Howl’s Moving Castle,and let me tell you, him and Calicifer were my absolute favorite Studio Ghibi characters.

I think Josh looks like he’s strong enough to lift 50lbs/ 100lbs flour sacs. I lift 65lbs all the time and I have thin arms. You know boys, they can lift anything
As for V. Hudgens, totally publicity for her. From the photos, she doesn’t look that into him AT ALL. She just wants to have pictures of her with the next biggest guy in Hollywood. Such a shame too because I think Josh is into her

Right now I think they may be testing the waters with the color of his hair. It is a bit lighter than his natural color, but I think once they get closer to filming they will adjust it a bit more and make it more blonde.

Someone please tell me where in the books it says that peeta has beach blonde hair. I KNOW he has blonde hair but I really don’t remember where it says that he is super blonde. I consider that hair to be a light brown. Of course I know that they are taking his hair in steps but I’d be alright with a darker blonde because to be honest, I don’t think he will look good with platinum blonde hair.

That is not blonde! I really hope that he goes blonder. My natural hair colour is pretty damn close to his and I’ve been dying my hair blonde for 7 years and I do it with Loreal Preference and it takes 2 boxes to do my 4 inches past my shoulders hair perfectly blonde, I have to touch up every 6-8 weeks but it remains blonde for that entire time just the roots show and it starts to dull a bit. If I can do it using cheap boxed dye the makeup/hair people on a movie with money can do his hair blonde blonde and not just highlighted, otherwise I am beginning to warm up to the idea of him as Peeta but I still hate Liam for Gale and I’m still kind of off put by Jennifer for Katniss but I know she will probably prove me wrong =)

I hope this is a process. If you ever watch Americas Nect Top Model (I don’t recommend) you will mote that going from dark brown to light blonde is disastrous. It is harmful to the model and looks like peed on hair. Also if you follow Tom Felton on Twitter (I do recommend) going dark brown to light blonde is a “process”. Side note Josh can do way better than VH.

Apparently Woody Harrelson has been offered the part for Seneca Crane. Also Stanley Tucci and Lenny Kravitz have been offered a part in the movie, however they don’t know what yet. There all supposed leaks of information, but at this point I believe it. I heard earlier that Lenny Kravitz was offered the part for Cinna.

I have to remember that he’s not really Peeta, he’s just the actor playing him. In the books he is described to have a square jaw but a soft face. He has exactly that. Square jaw! but not rugged and old looking like Robert Patterson or Alex Pettifer. He is perfect for that. His job at acting Peeta is still to be judged but if Susanne Collins, the creator of Peeta Mellark is so confident he can pull it off, then why shouldn’t we? Look at this photo. Don’t worry guys!!! He will be more blonde soon. His natural hair color was VERY dark brunette, and if you want this hair dye job to look somewhat natural and in any way decent, you need to slowly get your hair used to getting dyed a lighter color. It isn’t healthy for it to be dyed lighter just out of the blue. So this is a start and he’s already looking better. I’m happy.

hey people,.do you really think that they will actually adopt every details in the hunger games, about the physical appearance of every character, like in the HP series do you really think that daniel radcliffe should were contacts just because harry potter’s eyes are brilliant green? no he didn’t,.sometimes physical appearance in the book is not as important in the film,so you hate the film and the actors or actresses in it just because they didn’t match the description in the book,.it’s about the story, not that actors or actresses appearance,.
