In the books he is described to have a square jaw but a soft face. He has exactly that. Square jaw! but not rugged and old looking like Robert Patterson or Alex Pettifer. He is perfect for that. His job at acting Peeta is still to be judged but if Susanne Collins, the creator of Peeta Mellark is so confident he can pull it off, then why shouldn’t we? Look at this photo. @ClaryMellark Though I don’t think Josh is AT ALL ugly, I don’t think the book says anything about Peeta being really good looking in the first place… The book makes it sound like he’s just an average teenage guy. I think Josh will be a great Peeta! =)

Guys listen. Like what @Sapphire said. Don’t worry. We still have a year before the movie, and I think Josh will be pretty blonde by then
i don’t want his hair to get any blonder! i think that peeta is supposed to siymbolize that cute dream boy and josh dying his hair blonde only makes him look older and i think her would have looked alot more like peeta if he kept his hair brown.
Don’t worry guys!!! He will be more blonde soon. His natural hair color was VERY dark brunette, and if you want this hair dye job to look somewhat natural and in any way decent, you need to slowly get your hair used to getting dyed a lighter color. It isn’t healthy for it to be dyed lighter just out of the blue. So this is a start and he’s already looking better. I’m happy.

When I first found out Josh was playing peeta I thought he was still like twelve(as in bridge to terabithia) and I was really confused! But maybe he will make it blonder I’m so excited!!!!!!!!

hey people,.do you really think that they will actually adopt every details in the hunger games, about the physical appearance of every character, like in the HP series do you really think that daniel radcliffe should were contacts just because harry potter’s eyes are brilliant green? no he didn’t,.sometimes physical appearance in the book is not as important in the film,so you hate the film and the actors or actresses in it just because they didn’t match the description in the book,.it’s about the story, not that actors or actresses appearance,.
I guess he still going to get a little blonder, but my only problems is that he might look a lot younger next to Jennifer and shorter.

Guys! Peeta is described as having “Ashy blond hair…”! His hair isn’t gonna be bleach blond! Plus he has really dark natural hair so any lighter would look weird!
