Considering that the artist merely worked with what was presented, I say they did I pretty good job manipulating that dress.
It may not be what people imagined, but that’s fine, because this isn’t real. But I hope it’s still to the same degree as this dress, with the coloring I mean. I really want to see what they do for that fire effect.

Well that’s not how I pictured it. Where is the blue? It does not look like she is ingulfed in flames. That is too tight how can she twirl? Where is the gold glitter? Everything is wrong.I’m not impressed.

It’s not what I pictured for the dress–it’s ten times better! I pictured something tight at the top and flowy and the bottom, something that looks heavy. Because in the book, Katniss says the dress is heavy. I personally like this so much more. I don’t really like the hair and makeup. I pictured a braid.

One of the most interesting things in the series is the fashion… It’s one of the things that really gets the viewers to back Katniss in the beginning! They cannot afford be anything but exact in this aspect. The dress Jennifer is wearing is nice, but it’s not Katniss and it’s not what Cinna would have chosen for Katniss. If this is the road they’re taking, they’d better make a ‘U-turn’ fast!

Nope, this isn’t the dress. if you watch the newest official trailer, you’ll see it. it’s wierd, it’s just plain red, with a little flower-thing on the shoulder :/

I HATE it!!! It is so horrid!!! It looks NOTHING like it’s supposed to in the book!! It has NO resemblance what so ever!!! It is supposed to look like fire when she twirls and is supposed to have gems on it. But how is she supposed to twirl in THAT toothpick of a dress?!?!?!?! What about the gold tattoos? Wow Dissapointment courses through my vains… CURSE YOU MOVIE PRODUCERS!!! I expect better for Catching Fire!!! Suzanne Collins will shake her head and walk away in shame when she sees it. Wow.
Overall, I HATE it.

U do realize that in the movie trailer they show a glimpse of the dress and let me tell you… THAT IS NOT IT! so i agree with all the comments that think this dress is a F. A. K. E.
