5 Reasons ‘Hunger Games’ Should Be at Comic-Con
Philliana Ng from The Hollywood Reporter has posted five reasons she thinks Lionsgate should make a bigger showing at Comic Con this year, including stealing some thunder from Twilight. But can this first film, still in production, make an impression on such a massive fan base as Twilight’s, now going into its fourth and final film?
Ng argues that this would be a golden time to release some actual footage of Katniss in action, but is it a missed opportunity or simply too early?

In my opinion, Hunger Games showing up at Comic Con might actually widen the gap between the two audiences by having them compete for attention. Once Breaking Dawn is out, I’d like to think Twilight fans would be more receptive to another series. Right now it just seems like things are on the verge of a massive cat fight.

I’m so tired of people comparing Twilight to THG…honestly it’s getting old. I love both for different reasons. They are so different and shouldn’t be compared…but I know that they always will so hey what can you do? But if it weren’t for Twilight Mockingjay.net probably wouldn’t even be existent because Twilight was what got Kimmy started in blogging (:

I agree with Ari. Fans of both books shouldn’t fight coz there’s no reason to fight.. let’s all be mature and just support whatever book/movie we love and STOP being a hater..

I love both series but I love them differently, because they are different. I don’t love one more than the other. I’m a fan of both. And I really hope that both are showcased on the same day so I can see them both. I will be there at least for Breaking Dawn, but if THG is there the same time I can catch them too!

Hunger Games has more of a right to be there than frakking Twilight.
Well-written article, and I agree 100% that Hunger Games should be at Comic-Con, but the writer didn’t do her research well enough. “Breaking Dawn” is being split into 2 movies. So when the author said, Twilight is going into its fourth and final film, that is entirely incorrect. It is going into its fourth of five films. BD Part I comes out in November, and BD Part II comes out next summer. And when the writer said, Twilight fans might be more receptive to another series when Twilight is over, well that’s entirely possible, but Twilight still has a ways to go. :/
I think it’s so stupid to have the fans choose this fandom or the other. I’m for once a huge twilight AND the hunger games fan and I wouldn’t want to have to choose. I think it would be best to both fandoms if the conventions wouldsn’t be schedgualed for the same time. Like have the twilight one at noon at the hunger games one at the evening… makes more sense to me.
