I want a pin! I’m wearing a Peeta costume for Halloween and I’m gunna wear one (yes I know Katniss wears it but it catching fire Peeta gets a mockingjay pendent) so it will make my costume complete!

That’s soooooooooooooo cool! I need to get one on eBay or something. I know this is totally unrelated but I am listening to this song called “Crazy” by Gnarles Barkley. And I think it totally relates to Haymitch mentoring Katniss and Peeta. If you listen to the lyrics then you would understand. It sounds like Haymitch talking to them about how the games really messed him up. Anyway, just thought I’d share that with all of you HungerHeads or Tributes or whatever you wanna call yourselves.

I love that SC is so dedicated to the movie, but I hate that she let them mess it up already! They completely cut Madge Undersee from the film and add in this whole method that Katniss already has the pin (which makes no since because she is poor, why would she have a gold pin?) and gives it to Prim who gives it back, then she gives the pin to Rue when she dies but gets another one at the end of the games. I mean wtf? Doing this also takes away the whole conspiracy factor that possibly the district 12 president was working with Haymitch all along and intentionally got Madge to give Katniss the pin to make it the sign of the rebellion. Also, Madge being somewhat friends with Katniss shows that she’s not all that cold-hearted and distant, but can let people in. And finally, how can you cut someone that is in all tree books? I could totally see a whole flashback scene going on in the last movie when Katniss goes to the ruins of 12 and showing flashes of the devastation as it was happening, especially showing the Undersee’s dying. Having Madge in the movies would not only please the fans, but add to the story, cutting her was a huge mistake. It’s like Percy Jackson all over again… D:

The adaption is not going to have everything from the books. I get what you’re saying, but sometimes what’s good in a book doesn’t always mean the same with a movie. And since the timespan of the film will probably be around two hours, they’d have to cut stuff out that’s expendable — like Madge, whose role with giving the pin to Katniss can be replaced by her mother, who has to be in the story anyway — so they can fit in what’s absolutely needed for the story to be told.

As an A:TLA fan who was so disappointed/appalled/mortified of The Last Airbender, I’m getting sucked into the movie hype but will go into the theater with low expectations. LOL Self defense, you know?

the classic romance story is always a love triangle but suzane collins is the only one who got it right i love the hunger games trilogy my favorite book would have to be catching fire for all the personallities that were exposed we got to see gale’s side and why katniss is so fond of him yet we got to see what a great artist peeta is but i believe peeta is my favorite character for how much he love katniss i believe their should be a guy like peeta in our society and not just in the world where and evil president rules with the scent of blood and roses

@Savannah – you are completely right she shouldn’t have been cut out. I kept thinking about why she wasn’t in it. But everyone knows the book is always better than the movie. In this case I think the movie captured the spirit very well even though some things were left ou. But the movie goes for almost 3 hours, you can understand why some little things were left out. But I think Madge should have been in the movie, even if they made her part very small and short I think she needed to be there.
