Capitol Scenes to Begin Shooting at Phillip Morris Plant in Concord, NC

Russ Bowen is reporting that shooting will move to the former Phillip Morris Cabarrus plant in Concord, NC to begin filming Capitol scenes. The massive property spans 2,100 acres, with 2.4 million square feet under one roof. To everyone chosen to be extras, we totally envy you!!

I thought the capitol was supposed to be in the mountains?
ughh thats great and all but where the heck are the mountains? the shiny tall buildings? artificial colors?
Don’t forget this is movie, all they need nowadays is the basic structure and everything else can be added with computers later on

I could be wrong, but I’m pretty sure all the scenes will be shot inside (green screens, etc.). Everything will be added in post-production as CGI. So it doesn’t really matter what the outside looks like.
Oh my goodness I love you guys but some of you are so dense. The scenes will be filmed inside, like a studio. The entire capitol is going to be CG, so as Justin said, lots of green screens and facades.
Concord is just outside of Charlotte.
I do envy those extras. I would die to be them. I only live a couple hours from where they are filming! So jealous!

This is probably just the basic structure. Remember guys, there’s something called post-production.
I used to work there. Lots of huge open spaces for sets and green screens.
I live 2 miles from the entrance and the property ends right across the street from my house. I haven’t seen any of the actors yet, just signs for the extras. Oh and today they were bringing in a black wrecked car on a flatbed truck.
I can throw a rock over the fence and hit phillip morris property from where I live. Aren’t I special (:

Question..to all the people from Concord, are there usually that many deer in the field acorss fom Phillip Morris or is that something to do with the movie?
