10 New Scenes to Look Forward to in ‘The Hunger Games’

As time ticks down to March 2012, we thought it’d be fun to speculate on what new scenes we can look forward to that we don’t get to “see” from Katniss’ perspective. Read our list and tell us which one you’re looking forward to the most and post your own new scenes! (Note: the picture above is NOT from The Hunger Games)
- Mr. Everdeen singing to Katniss while hunting in the woods.
- Mr. Everdeen showing Katniss the katniss plant.
- Tribute interviews (Clove, Rue, Thresh).
- Haymitch and Effie gathering sponsors and deciding on gifts and when to send them.
- Haymitch saying, “Yes, that’s what I’m looking for, sweetheart.”
- Gale watching the Games with Prim.
- Thresh VS Cato!
- Anything with Foxface out of Katniss’ view.
- President Snow’s reaction to the end of the Games.
- Peeta bathing a drunken Haymitch.
Okay so that last one I totally don’t need to see, but I found it was hard to come up with a #10 so I figured I’d throw in that last one for laughs.
6 and 7!!!! But not so much ten… Something about a naked Haymitch really bothers me.
@*ANNA* I would make it so neither Finnick or Prim dies… Also Katniss not being so mentally depressed in the end.
I would want so many scenes that the movie would be 4 days long!
All of the scenes in the movie!!! Aaahhh! I am soo excited! But out of those,, gale and prim. And snows reaction. HA!!
but the biggest of all is WHEN KATNISS AND PEETA are in the cave and they KISS all day long:)))) haha!! Ooh! And when rue dies:( I wanna see how they do it. And alll of them scenes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The interviews with the other contestants. I bet those are going to be great. At least they are in my head

Cato verses Thresh and the interviews!
i kinda wish they wouldnt add mr. everdeen with katniss, cause then its taking up time in the movie where they cut other important scenes from the book. but i am looking forward to thresh vs. cato. i just hope they dont make it too…. idk fake or something. i hope they dont make up some extremely dramatic death for thresh just because they can and we dont know what happened to him in the book.
- The bath-blood scene: Peeta joining the Career, I wanna know how.
- Cato cutting Peeta’s leg with his sword (I really don’t know how he could survive after that). Peeta’s days-of-hell in the mud.
- Peeta finishing the district 8 tribute off (I want to know how a person like Peeta could do it).
@MinhNhutMon I always assumed that it was just by chance that he went to go see that tribute and more just watched him/her die. I never really thought he killed that person.
Totally want to see Gale and Prim watching Katniss, and Thresh against Cato too.

Me to!! I hope they show how Peeta ends up with the careers. When I read about Peeta and the district 8 tribute I couldn’t believe it. I still don’t! lol I wanna see some things from Peeta’s perspective during the games.
i dont want to see cato killing thresh…
but i would like to see haymitch dealing with sponsors and giving katniss the information… it would be funny to see him.
i like haymitch!
BY FAR, most excited about Thresh Vs. Cato. I always wanted to see how he was able to top Thresh. And I will not complain about an additional Alex Ludwig scene

3.Katniss discovering Petta at the riverbanks
4.The interviews!!!
5.The Hob
6.Training, Katniss loosing her temper with the drunken officials
7.The capitol and the people
8.Rues death
9.Peeta and Katniss’ first kiss
10.The end when they fight Cato on the Cornicopia
@Klex- I wish Suzanne Collins would write Hunger Games from Peeta’s POV.

it’s not up there… the most anticipated scene for me is when they call Prim’s name and Katniss volunteers while prim tries to pull her back and Gale tries to pull Prim back

@Liv I bet Peeta doesn’t “finish her off”, like the way most people would expect. I can picture him nicely holding her hand or gently killing her. Not like a huge dramatic bloody “finish” like he says. But I was confused when they said Foxface was peeta’s first kill or something.
Anybody else wanna see more of the Careers? Especially Cato? No? Just me? Okay…
Almost everything in the list… But I really would like to see, Gale’s reaction while watching the games~ And Haymitch’s reaction while watching Katniss in the games.
