Fan Food: Sweethearts Cookies

In anticipation of new visitors tomorrow when a Wall Street Journal article on people that cook food from books (myself included!) is printed, I made some yummy sugar cookies with ‘The Hunger Games’ words pressed into them. You can look at all the cookies I made here. Believe me when I say these are really yummy. We only have 3 left from this morning.

How’d u press the words into the cookies?
@Caitie Williams-Sonoma sells this “message in a cookie” kit and it comes with all the individual letters. You just press them into the dough before you bake. Very easy!

Do you just use a normal stamp that you use with ink?
@Andrea No ink, just stamped it in!
I made (and ate) these and they were delicious and crunchy!!! I couldn’t find my cookie cutters so I used a glass to make round ones. I got exactly thirty of them! I used a toothpick to draw a heat in one, but after seeing how poorly I’d done it, along with how long it took me, I left the others blank. xD
@Melissa Yeah it’s tough making your own designs as I learned! lol But yeah, this is my favorite sugar cookie recipe!
