Both Seneca Crane and Caesar Flickerman can be seen in these new adverts straight from the Capitol.

First up is Seneca Crane endorsing the ‘Cutting Edge‘ beard and mustache trimmer:

And Caesar Flickerman shows us his dazzling smile with ‘Smile Away‘ toothpaste:

According to The Hob these fantastic ads are now cropping up on real websites such as MTV,

IGN and E! If you spot one of the ads let us know.

    Bahahaha! These are awesome!

  2.

OK this is pretty genius. Can’t wait to see what else they come up with!

My best guess is that Lionsgate is wishing to treat us like citizens of Panem. First with the registering of The Hunger Games and these adds, I believe that as fans we should see this as more excitment added to the hunger games, as if this was a real thing. Like the Olympics, its funny how endorsements can hype us up even more on the Hunger Games. If you believe that you are a true fan, then you would want to buy this. I do….

Lol. Just saw this on IGN.com! Turns out they’re really big fans of the hunger games!

They’ve done such an amazing job with the marketing for the movie. I think that treating it like it’s real (with snow’s letter and these adverts for example) is so clever! And fun for fans as well.

    HG GIRL

This is kinda freaking amazing. :D Caesar Flickerman looks like… Caesar Flickerman. Hahaha really though, I always envisioned him as that talk show host that never stops smiling and being enthusiastic. Seneca looks amazing, still loving that beard. ;)

so I was watching the Gary Ross videos on MTV and it was in full screen an when I closed the full screen I saw Caesar flickerman for like a second but then it automatically changed videos and refreshed the page so the ad wasn’t there!! :( (((( I kept refreshing the page and could nt find it :(

You guys…i dont think this stuff is actually for sale. I mean, not a lot of people would buy a beard trimmer, seeing as a huge part of the HG fandom is teenage girls

Arrowing: maby not, but I’m a girl and i would love to have cinnas liquid skyliner !! spesialy on the Premier !!! <3

It would be funny if these items did actually appear at WalMart (or Tesco in the UK) and people buy them. We are no better than the Capitol citizens.

But those products don’t really exist, it’s just to promote the film, right!!!!!?

I really hope we don’t end up with Hunger Games toothpaste and beard trimmers. That’s going a little too far. Kinda strange as just ads for the movie too.

They have photos of the ads on the websites on a German fansite: http://www.thehungergames.de/2012/02/10/die-kapitol-werbeanzeigen-erobern-das-www/

UMMMM. @Arrowing that is a completely FALSE statement. I am a boy and LOVE the hunger games!!! I can name a ton of my friends who are guys and also like the hunger games! The hunger games is a neutral gender book? Hey, look at that, the director is even a male!

  16.

    I WANT SENECA’S BEARD!!! Unfortunately I’m too young to grow a full one -.- and I just got a trimmer, so I can’t just go buy another. In the future though… (;

And by the way I agree with the above comment by Grant I and so many of my guy friends love The Hunger Games.

  17.

Oh my gosh. I HAVE to make an advertisement for some high end fashion line from the Capitol now! :D These are amazing. <3

    Lea

omfg Caesar’s hair looks photo-shopped blue in that picture.

    Gina

    Welcome to the capitol :-/

@Grant. Please read my comments more carefully before judging. There are many teenage girls that contribute to the Hunger Games fandom. That does NOT mean that boys aren’t a part of it too.

I can’t believe it. They’ve taken it to the clever level that I never thought I would.. a real-world satire of The Capitol, that turns the mirror on us and makes us look at ourselves.

Good job guys! On the idea, anyay, I wish the ads were a little more polished (like the one of Elizabeth Banks for the nail polish), especially Flickerman’s hair/eyebrows.

But seriously, I’m totally stoked that their promotion team is doing this. :3

Up your game…haha clever.. but Caeser flickerman still looks like an oompa loompa…

I commented on this post earlier saying that I wanted to make a fashion advert featuring Effie. Well, I did it, in case anyone wants to see. :D http://www.technicolor-dreams.com/art/2012/illustration/fanart-effie-trinket-capitol-advert/
