Glamour Magazine has 6 Secrets You Need to Know About ‘The Hunger Games’ and in that article, they have two new digital images of Katniss and Effie. The Katniss image can be seen in the Illustrated Companion
It’s a little hard to tell in this small picture, but you can kind of see the jewels stuck to Katniss’ left shoulder!
Katniss(AKA Jennifer Lawrence)looks stunning.
Effie…frilly and fun looking like always!

I’m a bit disappointed in the dress…in the book, Cinna has way more talent…
@Fatima: I think we are all in for a surprise with the dress. I was initially kind of shocked they showed it in the trailer, because it is kind of an important dress and I thought they would have kept it secret, but they have been very careful thus far in keeping the bottom of the dress covered. In this pic, you can see the bottom of the dress isn’t like the top. Maybe I’m way off base here, but I think when we all see the whole thing, it will be stunning. I agree with you though, I was kind of underwhelmed when I saw it.
As for Effie, I have been totally on board with her fashion sense (so effie! especially her capital couture cover), but this one has pushed me a little over the edge. For me at least, it is a little *too* weird. Mostly the eye makeup. I dunno, it’s not even that big of a deal, but I saw it and instead of reacting with “Haha, oh my gosh, the designer team is amazing for coming up with this!” I was like, “Ehh, ok? She now looks….kinda creepy”. Which may be the point but…..ugh, I dunno, just not feeling this look for Effie. Oh well!
I saw the top half of Katniss and i was like “FINALLY THERE GONNA SHOW THE WHOLE DRESS”. Then i scrolled down…
They show the full dress in the trailor…
@sweetnsassysarah: In the movie guide they explain that the dress just looks like a relly pretty dress when she’s sitting or standing still, but when she turns it like shimmers and stuff

guys, remember District 12 is poor. Therefore Katniss is hardly able to afford food let alone beautiful clothes. So this dress to her, even if its ‘simple’ was the most beautiful thing she has EVER worn
I’m soooo glad they captured the Capitol look!! Effie looks just like I imagined all of them to be!!
As for JL as Katniss, AMAZING!! I LOVEE her dress!! March 23rd come faster!!!
I was looking at the other pictures of the actresses who auditioned for Katniss, and I am SO glad they picked Jennifer!! I could NEVER see anyone else doing it!

Effie looks weird, but Katniss looks great.
Effie really lookss amazing in all of her outfits! But Katniss’s dress looks a little meh to me… I’m not going to really judge it by a coule of pics though! I really can’t wait to see it in the movie!! Jennifer Lawrence still looks pretty young, even when she is all done up, so that’s good to see

The bottom of the dress is pleated…not what i expected. But! in the movie companion it says when she twirls it looks like fire(:

My mom won’t let me see the Hunger Games….I’m SOOOOOO upset….she say’s it’s too violent….
Peeta is so hot!I luv Josh Hutcherson! Also did you here that Liam Hemsworth ( Gale) and Miley Cyrus are getting married! So is Katniss and Peeta in the second book and movie!
