If you guys haven’t read the full Rolling Stone article on Jen, you should. I just picked it up yesterday because I knew from the preview on their website that there would be some really funny stuff in there. All I can say is, girlfriend is a CHARACTER … I laughed out loud several times while reading it.

@Rachael unfortunately my mom would never let me read rolling stone magazine. Jennifer Lawrence is an amazing person though.

I ‘m not trying to say I’m the best actress – there are thousands who know more about acting than me. But once in a while I have the feeling I know a character good enough to speak her lines without them coming out artificial and forced. But that happens quite seldom. And that’s why I really want the part when it happens.

Barrymore: When I read that I instantly fell in love with you. I feel the same way. We all know that an actor has many possibilities to interpret a character. And then you read the script and you think: Oh please, don’t make her a victim, she is strong, I know she is strong. Or: She is funny and cheerful, if someone dares to play her nasty and depressive I will give you a hard time.

Lawrence: Yes, you fall in love with your character and suddenly you think about the possibilities to do her wrong. That happened when I met Gary Ross, director of Hunger Games, and I said to him: I completely understand if you think I’m not the right one for the part. But whoever plays her, don’t let her play Katniss too cool. When she shoots her enemy she must be strong but also sad, desperate and anxious. There must not be a single moment in the whole movie in which she doesn’t expect to be killed.

I AM SO GLAD SHE’S GOING TO BE KATNISS IN CATCHING FIRE! I was SO IMPRESSED by her performance! I hope she gets nominated for an award… although I think THG movie could’ve been better overall.

@noribori – Dang that sounds like it’s a good interview but it sucks that it’s translated from English to German and then BACK to English again haahah. They need to release the original transcript or put it in the U.S. version of the magazine!!

Yes, we get it guys, Jennifer Lawrence is beautiful. But why does she need to be airbrushed and fake? She looks just as good in an un-retouched photo, wearing no makeup.

Im wondering why they always put her in these really unflattering unitards….
