Hunger Games Movie News

‘Hunger Games’ may have come in 3rd at the box office this weekend, but it’s also broken into the Top 20 of All-Time Highest Grossing Domestic Movies. ‘Hunger Games’ is currently at #19 on the list, just $1500 behind #18. But with the release of Hunger Games IMAX next weekend, who knows how high on the list it might jump!
A new TV spot was released today to promote the IMAX showing. It’s almost exactly the same as the “Movie Sensation” spot released last week, although I still love the part with Caesar at the end!
Do you think the IMAX showings will put ‘Hunger Games’ back at #1 in the box office next weekend?

I don’t think it will be number 1 next week either, but it should be proud it stayed there for 4 weeks that is a great achievement. I may see it once more, I just hope they announce a Blu ray date soon. It was a great movie and it deserves every cent it gets.
yes 100% sure
It should be #1. Just saying!
Agreed Mike – I think the fandom should be proud of really getting behind the movie and supporting it as well. I’m sure the numbers are high because of word of mouth as well as the quality of the flick (and not just those of us who have seen it four times!), so the success is definitely well deserved
I’m pegging August for a bluray/dvd release, September at the latest.
And Catching Fire has certainly got a high standard to achieve on the back of The Hunger Games success.
I’ve only seen it once. I might go with my uncles to see it though. I saw Harry Potter and the Dealthy Hallows part 2 4 times in the movie theatre but that movie was better then this movie.
If this is how much it makes on the first instalment, imagine how much ‘The Hunger Games’ franchise will make if/when we get to Mockingjay..
