Liam Hemsworth on Francis Lawrence and Gary Ross
E!Online caught up with Liam Hemsworth this weekend and asked him what he’s thoughts are on Cathcing Fire’s new director, Francis Lawrence, and the departure of Hunger Games director, Gary Ross.
“The last I heard the new director (Lawrence) had just come on, so that’s really cool,” the Aussie actor told us this weekend at City Year’s second annual Spring Break event. “I’m excited about that. I think we shoot the last few months of this year.”
Not that Hemsworth is happy to see Ross go.
“I’m really sad to see that Gary’s not going to be part of the second one,” he said. “He did such an amazing job on the first.”
But don’t get too worried. Hemsworth said, “I think that there’s still so many people a part of it that want the film to be great and care about it so much that they’re not going to bring the wrong person on.”

Good chap. I’m liking him more and more as Gale.
@SPM – Agreed, I’m a K/P shipper and no real Gale fan but I must admit I am looking forward to seeing more of him in CF and MJ.
Yeah. Same. I didn’t agree with him as Gale at first…. and didn’t think he was great, but I’ve grown to like him more. I like k/p as well. But, I am interested to see how they show Gale’s feelings. I will be so sad in mockingjay. When there isn’t much Peeta. And then he strangles her!! I will cry in the movie.
I like the k/p romance best in the second book. I do love the cave scene, but katniss is just pretending…. I mean sort of she is in catching dire, but she loves him even more so than she did in the cave. Plus, Peeta actually has a sense of humorous in Catching Fire…. THANK GOD!!!
But listen to me talk about the books… ir should be about Liam!!!!

I love how Liam shows his emotions and thats why I love him as Gale. I am a K/G shipper so I was kind of skeptical at first but I have grown to love him and can’t wait to see him in Catching Fire and *cough cough* the kiss
