The Hunger Games Nominated for Teen Choice Awards
The Hunger Games has been nominated for 5 awards at the Teen Choice Awards 2012. Teenagers can vote once everyday before the show airs Sunday, July 22 (8:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) on Fox. The film, Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson have all been nominated in the Sci-Fi/Fantasy category, Suzanne Collins’ novel has been nominated for Choice Book and Liam Hemsworth as been nominated for Male Hottie. For book I think either THG or divergent but for movie THG or the avengers:)
I agree with @Brittany for the books. It would be hard to pick between HG and Divergent
I am not a fan of a lot of the popular things going against The Hunger Games, like Divergent, so I’m voting for The Hunger Games on all of these. haha

I think that it would be appropriate for her. I’m not real good at judging things like that, though. It just depends on how mature she is.
However, I have read many, MANY books and had never been completed disgusted by something in them until Divergent– those who have read it will no what I mean when I say “knife+eye”. The way that was written was way worse than any Hunger Games scene and I didn’t like it. *shudders*

You can do a quick “sign-up” to vote and that should be all you are required to do. If you uncheck the box that wants you to receive offers, they don’t contact you at all. It’s almost like it doesn’t exist.
should be tough since the avengers are in contention (this is the TEEN choice awards after all…), but i’m keeping my fingers crossed for jen in the actress category and for the trilogy in the books category. not that i put much stock in this type of award ceremonies… the oscars they are not…

I don’t know which I like more Avengers or Hunger Games! This is terrible I think I am going to have to go with the Avengers because lets be honest it was a better movie.

Watched The Avengers yesterday – it was an awesome popcorn flick. Unfortunately, I have to agree with Please96, it was a better movie than THG. (Totally off topic – Avengers WON’T be better than The Dark Knight Rises. Christopher Nolan rules all.)
@savanah– heh, i know, right? honestly, i liked the avengers, but i liked THG more. unfortunately, i’ve been out of my teens for a long while now… and it’s not hard to imagine where the majority of the votes are going to land. =/
Avengers is the better movie compared to THG. However, I’m no longer a teenager so I’m not sure what most teens think. But in all honestly, Divergent bored me to tears. It felt like it was trying too hard to be something. When I read THG the story came naturally. While both Katniss and Tris are abrasive characters, Katniss has a more realistic feel to her. I’d love for Josh to win best actor, but Robert Downey Jr is there and technically he has more exposure in Avengers. Both Josh and Robert Downey ARE Peeta and Tony Stark which is great overall. For best actress…I’m actually hoping Lily Collins wins since she really felt like Snow White in Mirror Mirror

Well.. to be honest, Avengers Assemble deserve some of them more than The Hunger Games does, these are the two best movies ever. I love them both so.. yeah.

It would make sense that Avengers would win because they’ve had like 5 moies biult up to this one.While this is the first HG movie,so Avengers will definitely win that(not to mention it was an incredible movie)
