Wading Through Finnick Casting Rumors
Is it me, or is it starting to get a little confusing trying to keep up with all the Finnick casting rumors going around? In less than a week, we’ve heard that Lionsgate is courting Robert Pattinson, had Robert Pattinson refute those rumors, got excited over E!Online claiming that three fan favorites have been shortlisted, and read the Zap2it article saying that there is no shortlist!
Who is a Finnick Fan to believe?
While E! says that the shortlist has been narrowed down to Armie Hammer, Taylor Kitsch, and Garrett Hedlund and that casting might be announced this week, Zap2it claims that E!Online is mistaken.
Zap2it’s source says nobody’s in the lead just yet considering talks only began on Tuesday (May 29). Actors are still reading for the role, and the studio is strongly considering bringing in an unknown to avoid ego clashes on set.
A rumor’s a rumor until we hear the offical word from Lionsgate, and the fact that this supposed shortlist includes such huge fan favorites seems too good to be true. Hopefully the final decision will be made soon, and we can stop wading through all these Finnick casting rumors!
Yeah, the photo they have of Garret doesn’t show what he could be like. He would be an amazing Finnick!!!!
Armie Hammer
At this point, I think that bringing an unknown actor could be a really good option. There is just so many good lookin actors but no body seems to fit the part. I think they should start searching for a great uknown actor to come in for the part of Finnick.
I don’t think they’ve found Finnick yet. Keep looking people. Not even close!
I think the best celeb for Finnick is definitely Garret. But maybe they cast someone unknown, that would be cool too
I didn’t expect this, but I am now kind of down on Armie Hammer. He comes off to me as kind of full of himself in interviews. Garrett is not the most articulate guy in real life, but he does seem humble and sweet.
My preference would be an unknown, so I have somebody new to swoon over. BUT – Am I the only person in the world who thinks Ben Barnes is perfect? He needs a little more muscle, but his personality is spot-on. Plus, he’s the most beautiful actor I know.
I wouldn’t be mad at Ben Barnes. He’s lovely and did a great job in the Narnia movies.
I really pictured Finnick Odair to be Grant Gustin though hes’s actually too young for the role but still…
I think Ian Somerhalder would be perfect, I’m saying that because he can be a real flirtatious sexy person. But he can be sweet or serious. He would be perfect!

I’m fine with just about anyone EXCEPT Armie Hammer. He just seems too perfect for Finnick to me. But I would love to see Grant Gustin as Finnick. When I pictured Finnick in the books, I pictured someone just like him.
