Join Us for Mockingjay Movie Night – June 16
When Francis Lawrence was officially announced as the director for ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’, not all of you had seen his past movies, so we decided it would be a fun idea to host an online Mockingjay.net Movie Night. He’s directed three movies, so we’ll host two more of these later this year, but since we’re going to start from the oldest, we’re kicking our first one off with Constantine on Saturday, June 16 at 6 PM Eastern Time.
Basically, the way it will work is you have the next two weeks or so to figure out how you’ll watch the movie, whether by rental, online rental, a DVD/BR you own, or a DVD/BR you borrow, etc. Prior to the start, we’ll set up a page with an embedded chat room for you to sit in and we’ll all begin watching the movie at the same time. We can chat as we watch. If you can’t find the movie and just want to sit in on the chat with the Mockingjay.net staff and readers, that’s fine too! So far we’ve got Beth, Crystal, Tash, Ciara, Erin, and Sarah attending.
We realize the time may be a bit early for a movie, but considering the global spread of our staff, this was the best time we could manage without making our UK and Australia staffers stay up into the wee hours of the morning!
Global times are:
- EST (Australia) – 8:00 AM Sunday
- Central European Summer Time – 12:00 midnight
- British Summer Time – 11:00 PM
- Eastern Time – 6:00 PM
- Central Time – 5:00 PM
- Mountain Time – 4:00 PM
- Pacific Time – 3:00 PM
- Alaska Daylight Time – 2:00 PM
- Hawaiian Standard Time – 12:00 noon

For countires in Central European Summer Time– including such places as France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Spain, Sweden etc– this would be at 12 midnight.
@Christina: Unless you live out in the western panhandle of Florida (think Pensecola), then you’re in Eastern Time.

Constantine is up first as it was his first film as director, then in a couple of months we’ll do the next, and then the next
