Is the Catching Fire Production Headed for Atlanta?

July? I thought they started filming in September? hmmm…

I really hope that this is just a rumor (sorry people that lin nearby Atlanta!). I was really excited about signing up for an extra in The Hunger Games as I live in NC and only about two-three hours away from where they were filming. I even had a form filled out and was planning to go to a casting call when I realized that they would need me for the Reaping scenes and I had finals all during that time. I never sent my extra form in. I now regret everyday not signing up. There was a chance that I could have finished my exams early, but then I also started thinking, “Well, I have never been an extra before. What if I really embarrass myself?” Gerrrrr…. regret, regret, regret. And then I really wanted to visit the set during the summer when I was out of school. My mom almost took me once, but then decided against it. Anyway,to make a long story short (although it is already really long), I was looking forward to signing up for Catching Fire.

Woah. I hope so – just because I live near the ATL. And if filming starts in July, that’d be awesome because in August I go to an out-of-state college…but anyways, cool and interesting.

When is MI ever going to get a chance:(

omg! i hope this is true, i’m just glad that they’re going to work on this movie and speeding things up…That would be great if they film in July but hmmm, that seems to soon for the filming process to start…

Why would they go to Atlanta since they still have to film D 12 scenes? And the arena is tropical so Hawaii, Cal, or even Florida makes sense but what is in Atlanta?? Weird…..

Why the hell do they have to do that? Assuming that by Atlanta they mean District 12 scenes. They need somewhere that’s snowy.

I’m guessing Atlanta will be used for some of the other Districts during the Victor tour.

I’m 4 hours away from Atlanta but I’ll be taking summer classes. :/ At least my friend lives there. Maybe she’d be able to take a peek at the set.

Time to plan a summer vacation to Atlanta!

They might use Atlanta for some of the district tour scenes or maybe some district 8 uprising scenes. Also, filming is relatively cheap here in Georgia.

@Alex-yeah! you’re right they need som place snowy for district 12. but they might use Atlanta for the district tour scenes, like joseph said. i did hear a rumour though that they might use hawaii to film the actual Games. ive personally been to Hawaii and think it would be perfect! it’s tropical(well, duh!) like the arena for the qauter quell, amd i think it would work really weell!

Here in metro Atlanta/Atlanta I’m so excited!!! I want to be an extra. I could play a young katniss…. no joke!!!

I heard the Hawaii rumor as well. I can’t wait for this release, its going to be so awesome!
