Not sure what “IMAX cameras” are. But, it all sounds really interesting. Can’t wait for all the sneek peeks once they start shooting.
@Vijeta Walke, IMAX have their own incredible High-Definition cameras that film unlike any other in the world. The film stock that passes through the camera is both wider and taller and allows a very detailed resolution unparalleled by other standard film stock. Of course you’d only truly see the benefit through an IMAX projector in an IMAX theatre. Basically the shots and sequences would be crystal clear, super HD, better than your own eyesight!
Thats cool… I guess…. I hope it still ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!
cool, but I would never be able to tell the difference between IMAX and non-IMAX. It’s just jargon to me, but I guess if it’s considered better we should be grateful
Great! There’s nothing like seeing a movie on a huge IMAX screen.
With this news, you can pretty much put down Catching Fire for, at least, a 180 million dollar weekend, come next November.
Francis Lawrence is going big!
wow thats awesome that some scenes are being filmed with imax cameras. The arena will look amazing in imax.
Yay!
I’m just excited that the sequal is coming out PERIOD!
TOO. FAR. AWAY.
