Mockingjay Movie Night #2: I Am Legend
Last month, we held our first Mockingjay Movie Night (Constantine) and while we’d originally thought we’d do this every couple of months, we’ve now decided to make this a monthly recurring event. We figure there’s a ton of movies out there with the cast that we can watch, especially once the Catching Fire cast starts being announced! Sadly, though we’d hoped we’d be watching a movie starring our Finnick by this month, it doesn’t look like it’s meant to be just yet and we’ll have to wait until August.
Our next title will be another Francis Lawrence movie, I Am Legend, to be viewed on Saturday, July 14 at 7 PM Eastern Time (we’re trying out a 1 hour later slot). Borrow the DVD from a friend, rent it online, or buy the DVD (it’s less than $5 on Amazon right now) and join us as we watch and chat and “get to know” our Catching Fire director!

OMG I just saw that! LOL! We’ll have to determine which one we watch or whether we watch both!
I agree the Alternate ending version is just plane better. It turns the whole movie from a schlock action movie into a great movie with a meaningful message that is inline with the book.

This movie would’ve been amazing if they kept the original ending instead of the one seen in theaters. That ending sucked and completely deviated from the book’s message.
I absolutely love this movie, one of Lawrence’s best, but it is nothing like the book, so keep that in mind if you read it. This is one of the few times in my entire life though I will say movie over book.
NOOO! I don’t like this movie! When I saw it in theaters, I was so scared! It had a good idea for a plot, but it was just too scary for me! Might not be my cup of tea, but maybe somebody else’s.
Alternate ending? I’ve only ever seen this when it’s been on tv… brb, gunna go buy the DVD. I want to see that ending now!
