Awesome! I love how the poses actually symbolize the tributes’ deaths and Prim’s survival because of Katniss’s volunteering. The way they did the poses are hilarious though: Jack looks really stiff and he’s not even facing the rest of them, Alexander looks like he’s asleep, Amandla and Dayo actually look kinda sad/hopeful, and Willow’s just chilling there in the front. You guys are awesome!!!

I love this photo, and i got the point right away. the tributes are dead and in the classic death pose, and because of the traumatic event that prim went through, part of her is dead.

I didn’t “get” the point at all until I read the comments – I just thought it was a really weird photo!

I got the photo, but I still can’t help but laugh at it. It reminds me of when I used to play mummy as a kid! Plus, Alexander has such a funny look on his face

Only Prim can be seen in Catching Fire. The rest of the cast in the pic died in Hunger Games, hence the pose.

this is horrible, it’s making me aww and laugh at the same time! xD aww because it’s kind of sad, their characters are dead, and laugh because it’s awkward and creepy. they’re standing and in full hollywood styling/clothes. so it gives me the feeling like, “oh, one smiling. and one with silly faces! oh, let’s do one where our characters are dead!”

i can’t help but feel that it’s a little insensitive to the message of the books. points for creativity (and extra points to Amandla for making it look touching), but way to make light of it. now, it would really drive it home if it were done in a way that it makes people think about how awful it is that they’re just innocent children and who were forced to murder each other.in a non-gruesome way for a magazine. so like.. have a magazine spread where the life of the tribute is written on torn pieces of paper in the floor.. their name, age, district, how many siblings/etc, and have them lying on the floor among the pieces of paper with their eyes closed, peaceful but presumably people would get that they’ve died. so people could find it beautiful but at the same time get the message of how tragic the whole circumstance of the story really is. it would give the feeling of seeing flowers on a grave, that type of thing. it’s honoring their memory in a beautiful way, with the tragedy obviously still there.

that will never happen, but i’d like it if it did! give us beautiful pictures while taking seriously the subject matter.

whenever i look at pictures like this it makes me want to cry beacause the amazing cast for the first movie wont be in the rest and i have a feeling it set our expectations high and we might be dissapointed……..

WHERE’S FOXFACE?! lol alexander needs to close his mouth and amandla looks like she’s about to laugh. jack’s like ‘I’m just gonna chill over here’ and dayo’s the only one who got the pose right! willow has this look on her face like ‘omgosh please get me away from these people!!!’ really touching picture… as long as you don’t keep looking at it!!

haha i cant stop laughing at Alexanders face. It looks so ridiculous. Amandla looks so cute, a perfect Rue, I hope shes in the other movies, like it Katniss visions or dreams or something.

got to love this picture!! it really does speak me and it makes me so sad cause these guys who did so well can’t not make it to the rest of the movie. hey mabs might have a flash back and they could be in it for the people who didn’t see or read the frist book or read the second book.(i hate those people and you call yourselves fans NO!)

Lol so funny. But means so much. I got it as soon as I saw it. Dayo, Alexander, Jack, and Amandla all representing each other as dead from the games. And Willow partly dead from seeing her sister fight in the games. It just makes me laugh sooo much though. Alexander needs to close is mouth. It looks like he is asleep.

Alexander looks stupid and out of place compared to the rest of them. I like him, but they should have retaken until he looked natural.

Rue looks gorgeous, her skin glows. This is a very pretty, and somewhat foreshadowing picture because Prim has one hand across it seems as though she is SPOILER ALERT!!!!! close to death as much as any tribute.

Seriously? Sorry, this is just so cheesy to me. Not particularly in a good way. Not the casts fault, but the photographers. Eh even something as simple as putting it on a black backdrop would have made the shot so much more effective…

I like the concept a lot…I just wish that they took a different shot. Am I the only one who thinks that Alex is throwing off the shot with his mouth open in the back???

And also Nina: TOTALLY agree about the black backdrop, lol. Maybe the photographer thinks of death as going into the light, so THAT’s why he put the white background? I dunno, I just want more…
