Jena Malone is “On top of the world today!”
If you’ve been keeping an eye on Jena Malone’s Instagram account (@jenamalone) you may have seen a few cryptic pictures being posted lately. Now we have had the official announcement Jena has updated her Instagram account with the above fantastic picture of her hanging off the Hollywood sign 
She posted the following caption with the pic:
On top of the world today!!!!! Lionsgate finally made the announcement today. I get the incredible opportunity to play Johanna Mason in the hunger games trilogy. I’ve been bursting at the seams wanting to share!!!
Glad to see that Jena is as excited as we are about the announcement!
I totally love this photo, and good on her too. I want to hang off the Hollywood sign lol
Also confirms that she’s known for a little while at least and hasn’t been able to share, I wonder if this is also true about the Sam Claflin rumour.
I posted the official like sliver thing that announces it on instagram and tagged her and she liked it. I wanted to die. <3

She seems to be really interactive with her fans on instagram which is awesome, she’s certainly going to get a lot more attention now.
Some of her pictures are just amazing, I’ve been checking back over the last couple of weeks and have just been gobsmacked by some of the cool things she’s had on there. Very talented woman

Great that she finally was able to show how happy she’s about getting the part! I guess it’s now clear that Lionsgate is deliberately releasing the casting announcements this slowly, which annoys me quite a bit. Reminds me of what Summit does with Twilight.. It’s not necessary to try to create more hype around this franchise, there’s enough of it already. All this dragging out just makes them look silly and greedy.
