To celebrate the release of ‘The Hunger Games’ on DVD and Blu-ray in the UK, Digital Spy is giving a few lucky fans the chance to see the ‘unseen version’. The most exciting part, however, is that the 12 tributes selected for the screening will then have their names thrown into a reaping bowl, with one super lucky fan to receive a pair of tickets to the world premiere of ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’!

Competition details:

This competition will run for two weeks, ending on August 23, 2012. Entrants must be 15 or over and be available to travel to the O2 Arena in London on August 30 for 8pm. Those winners younger than 16 must be accompanied by someone over the age of 16 as their plus one.

Successful tributes will be notified of such on August 23, and screening winners will be notified before August 25.

To enter, head on over to DigitalSpy.com – good luck!

The so-called “unseen version” just has the extra seven seconds that were cut from it put back in. Seven seconds. Is it really worth it? Just buy the american DVD/Blu Ray!

      .

Its not 7 seconds its 20 minutes.

Ranchan: seeing it at the cinemas for free? And also a chance to win tickets for the world premiere of Catching Fire? If I lived in the UK I’d totally enter this contest.

@Ranchan: Yeah, but there’s also the chance of winning a ticket to the worldwide premiere of Catching Fire<3

Aww, I was hoping for deleted scenes that didn’t make the cut.

I believe the UK blu-ray edition is the full version as well, so fans can buy a copy of that to see the missing 7 seconds as well – I’m not sure that you’ll really tell the difference :)

As Abel Toy said it is most definitely worth entering for the chance to win tickets to the Catching Fire premiere, that would be so cool! And I’m sure at the screening there would be goodies, plus an opportunity to hang out with fans :)

    Who Said What?

It’s not just seven seconds, all the blood on weapons and the blood that splatters is being added back, but most important a chance to see CATCHING FIRE before ANYONE ELSE! Even though that’s 14 and a half months away!

Im soo annoyed! I bought the blu ray version believing it was supposed to be gorier than the normal dvd! Ive only just watched it and am thoroughly dissapointed. There is only one blu ray player in my house and I wanted to be able to watch it in my room too, but thought it would be worth it to get better footage! I wish I had the normal dvd!
