Watch the Video for Birdy’s ‘Just a Game’ from The Hunger Games Soundtrack
If you have yet to purchase The Hunger Games on Blu-ray and DVD (or like me you have to wait til September 3rd in the UK), Entertainment Weekly has one of the extras exclusively on their website – the music video for Birdy’s ‘Just a Game’ from the movie’s companion soundtrack ‘Songs from District 12 and Beyond.’ Unfortunately there are no clips or references from the film in the video but the lyrics are enough to tell us what the song is really about. The video isn’t embeddable so head on over to EW.com to watch.
AWW I really wanted the video to have references to the film and some clips because I really love this song.
Well knowing it was made for The Hunger Games is enough i guess.
so great to see this. “just a game” is my favorite sound on the soundtrack– so haunting and beautiful– so it’s nice to see there IS an official video for it. even if it’s got no scenes from the movie in it; in some cases it works better that way.
also, the fact that it’s in black & white and nothing more than just birdy herself on the piano kind of gives it an 80′s feel, which i always appreciate.

Great!! She’s awesome, I love her voice. This was one of my favorites on the soundtrack and for dance we did a routine to Skinny Love

I love this song!!!! I got it right before I went to watch the hunger games in the theater.
THAT’S WHAT THEY WERE PLAYING AT WALMART! On the Walmart TV’s during the midnight release they would play bonus features, Safe and Sound and then this but I had no idea what is was. Manly because they wouldn’t turn the Tv up. Our Walmart party sucked. We just sat around for an hour talking to other fans. :p
