Entertainment Weekly is reporting that costume designer Trish Summerville has signed on to oversee costume design for ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’. Her previous work includes ‘Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’.
Fans of the Suzanne Collins book know that Summerville — who started her career as a costume assistant on films like Girl, Interrupted and later served as personal stylist to Christina Aguilera – will be responsible for conjuring up Katniss’ wedding dress, which looks at first to be standard issue bridal attire but eventually goes up in flames to reveal a feathered (and winged) mockingjay gown.

Is there word that Glenn Hetrick and Ve Neill will return.
Some advice…..STAY TRUE TO THE BOOK! Okay thanks.
So does that mean they’re not filming yet? I guess not if they are just starting on costumes. Love all the buzz, forgot about the wedding dress…can’t wait to see what they do with it!
Can’t wait to see Katniss’ weeding dress!!!
As long as Katniss’ wedding dress has sleeves, I’m all good! I’ve seen waaaay too many sketches with the dress being strapless.
What?!!! First Gary, now this? Is anyone who made the first film fantastic coming back?? Neill and Makovsky nailed the Capitol look. This lady better not screw up and put her own “spin” on anything. I will not accept another horribly disunified movie universe! I couldnt stand how the HP movies felt like different worlds from one movie to the next
Maybe the first costume designer just needed a rest. After watching the behind-the-scenes show, I can’t even fathom how exhausting it must have been to try and design, plan and actually create costumes for literally hundreds of characters. Didn’t they say it took something like nine hours a day to get everyone into costume on crowd days?
She did an amazing job with the cast of Dragon Tat. Which is another look series I’m obsessed with.
She is my cousin. I’m so proud of her
