While browsing through deviantArt today, I came across this breathtaking piece of Hunger Games fan art by DavidDeb.
It was drawn on a 2.5″ x 3.5″ sketch card, using “watercolor blended in marker”.
For skeptics like me who think “How can anyone be so talented?” there’s also a step-by-step photo included on DavidDeb’s page.

Wow. That is awesome! I totally thought that it had to be photoshopped until I read the rest of the story. Thats crazy – they are so talented.
W.O.W! That is so fantastically brilliant, my favourite bit is probably the flames at the bottom, it does really make Katniss and Peeta look like they were engulfed in flames as described in the book.
Hope to see a follow up with some Catching Fire art work
