We reported back in April that Katniss, Peeta, and Gale would be released as Tonner Character Figures. These collectors’ dolls are now available for preorder.

You can buy Katniss for $179.99 and Peeta and Gale for $169.99 a piece, but so far, only the Katniss and Gale figures have images on their site. You can see close-ups and reserve your doll by going to Tonnerdolls.com.

What do you think? Would you buy one of these dolls?

the katniss doll looks a bit like emily deschanel. the gale doll looks disturbingly like a young dr oz. i guess it’s a good thing they haven’t released an image for the peeta doll, it probably looks like carrot top or something. :D

What??? Katniss figurine looks difrent in the face but the outfit seems like the real one but i still wouldnt pay 180 cause it doesnt look like her! and gale???!!!!! what were they thinking?? that is worth 1 cent! it looks nothing like him! but i get the idea it just wouldve been better if they acually looked like the charecters!

why doesn’t Hot Toys make one too? they’re really good at making things realistic imo with the avengers dolls

What?! For $180!! They don’t even look like them. I’ll just buy the Barbie for $35.

Not that I was ever planning on buying a $180 doll, but I’m still disappointed in them. Some of their dolls are incredibly life-like, and it’s almost as if they didn’t even look at pictures of the actors before making these ones.

Wow, these really aren’t very good, are they? I saw the collectible 1/6 scale figures for The Avengers and they looked almost uncannily like the actors from the movie. These look like they didn’t even have pictures to work from.

…why are Katniss’ and Gale’s hair different shades?? They both have really dark hair in the movies (and this doll Katniss’ hair looks auburn) and they both have black hair in the books. Also, their facial features look NOTHING like Jen and Liam…

Tonner has the worst head sculpts especially compared to the artistry of Hot Toys. For that price, it should better. Pass.

Wow, I think Mattel win out here, the Katniss Barbie is much better looking.

Lol to Carla and Crystal about Dr Oz and The Hoff, there is no way I can ever look at that doll and think it’s Gale.

    Why are they so much?

Ugh – Usually the Tonner Dolls are pretty Identical to the Characters but uhm… Don’t know what went wrong here. They look nothing like them. Strange. Wonder what happened…

I’m sad to say it, but the Barbie one that I bought(only because it’s Katniss) looks WAY better.
