Michael Gioielli Talks About His Brother Bruno and ‘The Hunger Games’ Jewelry Designer Will Return
Canton, Ohio is now the hometown of another member of The Hunger Games family, Bruno Gunn, and the local paper interviewed Michael about his brother’s big upcoming role:
“Bruno’s played a lot of tough-guy roles — police officers, guys in the military, bouncers, bartenders, tough guys,” his brother said. “He’s a big guy with a shaved head.”
“This is Bruno’s biggest role ever. It’s going to open doors for him big time,” said the actor’s understandably excited brother, Michael Gioielli. “He’s on cloud nine right now.”
“He’s got a lot of fight scenes,” Michael said. “He’s going to be on-set for at least five months.”
Canton is also the home of Dana Schneider, the jewelry designer who created the Mockingjay pin for the first film. The paper also revealed that Schneider will return for ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ to create “another Mockingjay pin as well as other pieces of jewelry for two other main characters”. Schneider has described the pieces as “very complicated and artistically very challenging”.

Maybe 1 is the wedding ring peeta proposed katniss with.
Or it could be the locket peeta gives katniss on the beach or the bangle that ham itch gives finnick or the pocket watch with the mockingjay that Plutarch has
@Addy – I like the wedding ring idea! There are lots of potential pieces.. I hope one is the watch Plutarch has, and they just use CGI to illuminate it with the mockingjay. The locket has to make an appearance too, surely

Something about the pearl???? Maybe the pearl peeta gives Katniss is not normal she might put designs and things on it, so it’s “a rare pearl”. IDK just a thought even though I don’t know if it’s in the “jewelry” catagory.
Maybe the jewelry will be the locket and the bangle Haymitch was wearing? I like the wedding ring idea, too.

What a great brother he is. I would be very excited for my brother if he had a gig like this, too!
I think one of the jewelry items will be definitely Plutarch’s watch that he shows Katniss. The other item could be the locket that Peeta gives Katniss in the arena with the photos of Prim, Mrs. Everdeen, and Gale.
I just had another idea. It could be that bangle that Haymitch gives Finnick in order to tell Katniss to trust him in the arena?
I doubt it will be the watch. The mockingjay effect will surely be CGI, so the entire face will likely be computer-generated. Without that, it’s just a pocketwatch.
I’m certain one of the pieces will be Peeta’s locket, and probably Finnick’s arm bangle. I actually cannot remember an engagement ring being involved with Katniss and Peeta’s charade at all.
The pocketwatch could have a holographic image in the crystal & wouldn’t need cgi and would fit in better with Plutarch trying to be inconspicuous while showing it to Katniss. imho
