Check Out This First Look at Some Wigs to Be Used in ‘Catching Fire’!
There has been a lot of rumours flying around about ‘Catching Fire’ developments recently, but this one is particularly exciting. It looks like work has officially begun regarding some new looks for the characters. Linda Flowers, hair stylist, is reported to be returning to ‘Catching Fire’ after working on ‘The Hunger Games’ last year, and it looks like she already has some pretty great looks in mind for Effie if those wigs are anything to go by!
Reportedly a fan was at the Doves Salon in Santa Monica (CA) back in August when she was told by one of the workers at the salon that they were currently in the process of making wigs for use in ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’. Some of the wigs can be seen above, presumably for use by Elizabeth Banks playing Effie Trinket. The wigs that the fan saw were apparently a variety of shapes and colours.
And it looks like the staff at Doves Salon are very excited to be working on the wigs for ‘Catching Fire’. They recently posted on their Facebook, ”Christopher and Sonya are working on something very special that must remain hush hush for now…” and “The past 2 days at the salon have been very exciting! We have been working with head hair stylist, Linda Flowers for a major motion picture. We are so honored to have had this team of hair artists in the salon!” Plus check out this picture they posted along with that comment… do you see the clock t-shirt and the one that says ‘District Hair’? Looks like they totally got into the ‘Catching Fire’ spirit for the job!
So, what do you guys think of the new looks that have been created for ‘Catching Fire’? Those wigs look pretty awesome if you ask me, plus its great that Flowers will be returning to do the hair styling in ‘Catching Fire’ after she did such a great job in the first movie!
