Sam Claflin Dropped Out of Role in ‘Belle’
Because of ‘Catching Fire’ filming agenda, Sam Claflin had to exit another project : the movie ‘Belle’. Another actor will take on the leading role in ‘Belle’, Sam Reid, as shooting begins September 24 (‘Catching Fire’ shooting is rumoured to begin next week). Sam Reid also has a role in the movie ‘Serena’ with Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper.
‘Belle’ Summary, by Deadline :
The film tells the true story of Dido Elizabeth Belle Lindsay (played by Gugu Mbatha-Raw), a mixed race girl raised as an aristocratic lady in 18th Century and who fell in love with a man of high social standing (Reid). All of this happens in the backdrop of a legal case that helped end slavery in England. The film stars Tom Wilkinson, Miranda Richardson, Matthew Goode, Emily Watson, Sarah Gadon, Penelope Wilton, Tom Felton and James Norton.
When I first read the title I just read San Claflin dropped out of I was like no!!! Because I thought it was the HUnger Games so glad t wasn’t

Haha I thought that too! I remember Jennifer had to drop out of Savages to make space for The Hunger Games. It seems this happens quite often.
