we know he isn’t really wearing an earring. My gosh. JH’s Peeta hair will look toned down on camera by the way. It really depends on the white balance and editing after. So,I’m not worried at all.

No earring if you look at some of the side view pics. I think its a reflection of the metal on the stairs behind him. Methinks the box Sam is carrying is self tanner. Leaves trailer ivory-skinned with box, comes out with tank on and tanned-skin, no box. Haha simple math! JK
BTW Both hot and both awesome actors so we will be very pleased!!

ummm Sam is sort of ugly imo…. I don’t think anything can help him…not even self tanner. Isn’t Finnick supposed to be more attractive than Peeta! But Josh is a cutie.
Am I the only one teary-eyed with joy that Sam lost his scruff? And he looks great, Sam and Josh both. This is so exciting! It’s like one minute The Hunger Games’ official first trailer is coming out, then all of a sudden there’s the first Catching Fire set pictures.
I think Sam’s hair looks great in the photos. I hope they keep it like it is in the photos. And yes, his eyes are naturally green, unless they decide to “enhance” or “brighten” the shade. Now I’m hoping to see them in costume!
Well hello boys! Sam is rocking the tan, and I like the way his hair is tousled, he did get a bit of a trim too so I’m happy lol
He has guns too! But he doesn’t look ridiculous which is good, he doesn’t need to be the size of Bruno and Alan (Brutus and Gloss)

Love the pics! I was a little worried about Josh since he looked thin in some of his shots before shooting. His hair seems to be smoothing out somehow but if it doesn’t nothing that a little FX can’t fix.

@tash– yeah, i was wondering about jeffrey, too. we don’t have pictures of maria and bruno either, though we know they’re down there already. there’s a few of them we haven’t seen around. and looking at those outfits they have to wear, i’m feeling very awkward for the lady who plays mags (and whose name i keep forgetting…)

@carla – Hahah oh yes, poor Lynn Cohen! I’m sure movie magic will find a way to make it look a little less awkward.. :/ I’m curious as to what arena scenes they are filming if that is indeed the arena outfit, and what will end up being filmed on location.
Claflin is Finnick, what more can I say? I´ve always seen it, but now he looks exactly like Finnick in my head.
To be honest, I don´t like Josh´s haircut or colour. I wanted it to be like in the first Arena, messy and longer. Now when I look at these photos, I don´t see Peeta Mellak. I see blond Josh Hutcherson. I hope in the film it will look better.
I actually think Josh’s hair looks good like this…more like he wears it in rl. I couldn’t stand all the product they used in it for THG.

they are filming at the arena scenes at atlanta right cause now im confuzed
i meant they are filming the arena scenes in hawaii oops.
I think they are filming the training center scenes, because the casting agency does the hiring of extras for catching fire sent out a memo saying that people cast as trainers needed to be available for shooting this week. so they are definitely filming the training scenes

Sorry, but Sam Claflin as Finnick is definitely not working for me. Not like the Finnick’s books. He is physically too young to be Finnick. Glad I’m not the only one not liking Claflin as Finnick! Everyone is fangirling over him, but I don’t find him attractive…he’s just cute. That’s it.
