GIVEAWAY: Win a HATES Prize Pack Including Signed Poster by Jennifer Lawrence
Jennifer Lawrence’s new movie The House at the End of the Street will be out in theaters next week Friday, September 21, 2012. In celebration of the movie’s opening, we’ve been given a pretty darn cool prize pack to give away including the movie version of the HATES novel, a HATES frisbee, a HATES flashing light, a $30 Fandango gift card for you and a friend to go see HATES, and a HATES poster (the one above) signed by our beloved Jennifer Lawrence! Amazing, right?
To enter, all you have to do is comment here telling us how you’d picture Katniss Everdeen, the girl on fire, if she were to swap places with Elissa in HATES and how she’d deal with the house and its rather creepy residents. Here’s a link to the trailers for those of you that need some inspiration. Ciara – Well, firstly I don’t think Katniss would be anywhere near the house at the end of the street, no matter how good looking and mysterious the boy who lives in it is. She’s got trust issues at the best of times, she thought Peeta was trying to kill her because he was being nice and complimentary towards her… the second she gets wind that this boy’s entirely family was brutally murdered, I’m guessing it’s safe to say that she won’t be hopping in a car with him for a lift home any time soon.
Crystal – Since Katniss has no time for boys or love, once she’s heard there’s a little girl in the house she’d plow right past that guy and pull the girl out, making sure she tucked in her shirt before dropping her off with her own mom and then heading out to go hunting.

I think that Katniss wouldnt even go near the house, cuz she’s really smart:D
Katniss would avoid that house, she’s a strong independent woman who wouldn’t be lured in by an attractive male. If she were put in the position to have to go into or near the house she would go at it like she did the games intending to best it and come out victorious, nothing would stop her
Katniss isn’t stupid, she wouldn’t even bother going into the house. As long as Prim is safe, she is okay.
If Katniss did somehow end up in the house, she’ll just walk straight up to the ghos and shoot an arrow and kill the ghost. maybe slap the guy a few times for taking her down to the basement in the first place.
If Prim were in the house, heck yeah she’d go in there and shoot the creepy thing with her arrow! She’s brave, and if she knows Prim is in danger, she will go in that house. But if the creepy thing inside the house was harming many people, she would try and kill it. Other than that, I think she would stay away from it.
She would totally take control over the situation with her fierce attitude and bow and arrow.
She would be the girl on fire!
I could see her being very protective of the other people yet being very good at trusting her instincts.
She’d scare everyone out of their wits!
Other than being a great athlete and great mental strategist I think that she’d be able to forge great bonds and make everyone think twice
I haven’t seen the movie but would love to! She’s gonna be just like Katniss and seem innocent in the beginning and then surprise you at the end!
She’s going to be the girl that everyone loves to (HATEs) because she is going to be amazingly talented, whipping out her bows and arrows and taking advantage of her surroundings.
Unless Katniss was being forced into that house by the capitol, I think she would have enough common sense that something wasn’t right about the house. If she was caught in the house, I think her hunter/ survival instincts would kick in and she would find a way to defend herself, and get out of the situation. Considering she doesn’t trust alot of people, I personally don’t think she could be tricked into going in there. She’s too smart.
Katniss would assess the situation and make logical decisions. She always has her own back, while doing what needs to be done.
She would use her mighty bow of justice and slay any spook or specter that dared show itself.
Katniss would keep to herself, but when it got to be much, would confront the neighbor, using her quick thinking, hunting skills, and knowledge. (off topic, you messed up josh’s day. its the 12th(: )
