Elizabeth Banks on New Catching Fire Cast Members
Elizabeth Banks blogged early this morning about how excited she is to start filming with the new cast of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. The actress commented on the casting of Sam Claflin, Jena Malone and Jeffrey Wright:
Sam Claflin gave me a tummy flutter in Snow White and The Huntsman so I couldn’t be happier that he’s taking on the role of Finnick Odair.
Jena Malone will play Katniss’s sarcastic frenemy Johanna Mason. She’s got grit and spunk in spades. Quote me on that.
The amazing Jeffrey Wright will play fan fave Beetee. We worked together on Oliver Stone’s W – he’s never less than perfection.
Elizabeth also can’t wait to get into our favourite escort’s high shoes once again:
I’m excited to work with everyone in the cast, and you know I can’t wait to transform into Effie again – crazy nail art, wigs, and all.
