Willow Shields was seen there today- so I’m thinking district 12!!

@roci – I am wondering if the peacekeepers uniforms appear grey because most of them are standing in the shade/shadows? The ones in the sun look white to me.

@Tash i was not only talking about the color, but the appearance of the uniforms. the helmets look different, bulkier, and the boots are white, whereas in the first movie i am pretty sure they were black. some of them look like they are wearing a biohazard suit, maybe it´s just the angle this picture was taken from, but they do look different

Better not be the reaping for district 12….the square looked totally different and a lot bigger. It was far extended to the right as well

They are filming in an entirely different location. Don’t expect D12 to look 100% the same.

@roci – We might have to chalk it up to changing Capitol fashion, maybe President Snow wanted to go with a space theme? I agree with you though that they certainly are different to the first film, it’d be nice to see a better shot to make out more detail.

It’s totally normal for things to change from one movie to another (Hagrid’s Hut anyone?), but as long as it’s recognizable I don’t think anyone should worry too much about continuity. The color of the boots aren’t going to make people care too much, after all it can easily be explained as an official or standard change/update/upgrade in uniform.

I’m more concerned about how well they are going to be able to recreate D12.. I won’t mind some changes because the first movie I think relied too much on what was already there rather than designing their own take on it, but it has to also look enough like the first movie’s version to not confuse viewers or take them out of the movie wondering why it’s so different.

I’m going to say it’s the reaping in one of the districts (probably 12) because you can see the people sitting in chairs on the stage. Anyone else notice the creepy man at the bottom of the picture? lol

i believe its district 11. and that is their peacekeepers uniforms. thats why they are different. Because new forces were brought in after rebellion began. that explains differnet uniforms. they are ther einforcements. also, i remember the screens being low like that on D11. D12 it was high. Remeber, the videos they watch show cecelias reaping and many more so it could be one justice building being used, but tweaked for each scene with a dif district.

wait a min-it cant be D11 because that is surrounded by town buildings in the square. not forest.

Yeah, the peacekeepers are looking a little storm trooper-ish. Doesn’t bother me a bit though. Nor does the justice building. It works.

pretty sure this is D12 or 8 Not 11 or 3 as Im lucky enough to be on those sets. We filmed the Victory Tour scenes for D3 & D11 on Monday and Wednesday. The peace keepers uniforms are a very light grey. They have more armor on them and full face helmets. This photo was taken by crew as we are checked each day for phones. If they see you with one then you are gone.

@xtra-movieguy so you confirm what i thought, they have changed the peacekeepers´ uniforms, oh well… as you said you were present during victory tour scenes, what can you tell us about Effie, Katniss, and Peeta? has their appearance changed?

xtra-movieguy, you might want to be careful. Even though what you posted here doesn’t seem like a big deal, it could possibly jeopardize you working on the film anymore if the right people found out that you posted it. Also, it is TOTALLY uncool that someone on the cast or crew took this pic after signing a non-disclosure agreement!

It was the Reaping scene, took two days to film. D8 riot scenes were filmed there last night and tonight

I’ve heard ruomours about the trailer for the film is coming on March 23rd 2013, as a anniversary gift for the HG fans!
