Contest / Giveaway

The unofficial cookbook ‘Recipes of The Hunger Games’ is now available on Amazon Kindle, but thanks to Callisto Media, we’ll be giving away three more hard copies over the next few weeks. This week’s contest is simple. Just comment here and tell us what was the one dish out of the entire trilogy that you most wanted to eat yourself while reading ‘The Hunger Games’ books!
This contest will run from October 4 to October 10, 2012. Winner will be chosen at random from all valid entries. This contest is open worldwide.

The groosling katniss described to be a delicious meat that’s so fatty, the grease drips down you’re face when you bite into it. It makes my mouth water.
Lamb stew, definitely. Though I’d also like a cheese bun with it (Mostly because I’m still not sure what it’s supposed to look like; is it a bun with cheese baked into it? A bun topped with cheese? What kind of cheese? Sweet or savory? So many questions!)
I’d like to try the district breads, but most of all the cheese buns!
I REALLY wanted to try the Mellark family french bread
The lamb stew with the plums and Finnick and Annie’s wedding cake that Peeta decorated. It would be cool to actually see the cake Peeta decorated.
the Lamb Stew sounds so amazing that id have to try it.
The cookies with icing that Peeta made in the beginning of Catching Fire.
Annie and Finnicks wedding cake!
Definitely the roasted bird with orange sauce. (Not to mention an appetizer of “springtime” broth)
i would definitely like to try one of peeta’s familys cakes
I’d love anything from the Mellark bakery or maybe Twill and Bonnie’s mockingjay crackers. Or any of that really good chocolate they have in the Capitol….
Definitely Peeta’s fresh baked frosted cookies that President Snow eats at the beginning of Catching Fire!!!!!
=)
Peeta’s burnt bread that he throws Katniss… or the apple and goat cheese in the arena (Or cheese from Lady) … maybe the frothy pink soup dotted with raspberrys in the Capoitol for Katniss and Peeta’s engagement party.
Without a doubt, the “hearty bread, filled with raisins and nuts”, blackened by the fire, that Peeta gave to Katniss in the first book.
At that point in the story, Katniss’ father had died in the mining accident, her mother had sunk into a deep depression and Katniss, Prim and their mother were slowly dying of starvation.
Katniss tried to gather food, but could not collect enough. She was about to give up and die, when Peeta defied her mother to help the scrawny, hungry, desolate kid in his back garden.
That moment changed everything. Katniss and her family ate well that night and the next morning and regained hope. At school, Peeta’s and Katniss’s eyes met. His love for her started then and there. She looked away, embarrassed, saw the first dandelion of spring and realized how she could feed her family: by hunting with the bow, the way her father taught her.
That bread changed everything. It represents hope and faith. Can’t think of a better dish!
The soup greasy sae sold at the Hob.
I would love to try the seaweed bread from District 4. It just sounded so delicious when I first read about it.
Probably the frothy pink soup from the Capitol or the lamb stew!!!!
Any type of district bread!!!!
Lamb stewe deffinately! Peeta’s faveorite as well!!!
The cookies with icing!
@MiniKatniss I’ll check with the publisher, as they were the ones handling getting the prize to you.
