Casting Calls For ‘The Idiom’ – Timpani Drummers, Female and Caucasian Male Needed
There has been more casting calls for “The Idiom” (aka The Hunger Games: Catching Fire‘s production title.) CL Casting is looking for a woman that fits very specific size requirements that is available for a fitting today and can work this Saturday. The call asks for someone who is unafraid of confined spaces and will have to wear a mask. Do you think this could be a District 12 miner? There is also a call for a Caucasian male stand in who can be available later today. Most curious is the call for experienced Timpani Drummers to work October 22nd. Is the 5’7″-5’8″ standin male for Josh perhaps? Are they setting up a scene while he is filming another one elsewhere? Or does he have the day off for other things?
OK-This might be why they might need a standin for Josh today–seems like there is word out that both Josh and Logan Lerman are being seriously considered for a movie called “The Bluff”–it is like a younger version of “The Hangover” movies—The fangirls will go nuts!

When I heard about the masks the fist thing I thought about was Katniss’ dream with tongues. Miners too. Probably a Josh Hutcherson stand-in. Don’t know which female would need a stand-in. Willow maybe???
The timpani drummers are probably for a Capitol scene- Quarter Quell announcement? Or is it to work on the score? Curious…
The mask thing is weird…why so specific? I agree with Crystal, D12 miners is probably the closest fit.
And the last one is probably a stand-in for Peeta.
@Rachel – they probably are for the quarter quell announcement, I agree. They have to get fitted for costumes, so I doubt they’re going to be working on the score…
Why would they only ask for 1 woman with such specific measurements, though, if it’s just a miner?

I fit the female discription – faints
Timpani are dramatic, but they also have a range of pitches that can sound like a heart beat if played well. That could be very much be what they’re using them for…maybe even for the whipping scene? Do we hear Katniss’ heart beating faster and faster?

I fit all requirments for the female but have no way of getting there…. Happy for whoever gets the part though!
