A new photo of the Capitol vehicles has surfaced online, this one is taken from the back, where you can see the Capitol emblem as well. Photo available under the cut. Thanks to HGT for the tip.

Cool car !
Scary car… But cool
i thought capital cars were more….. formal.. but cool car
@she, it’s probably a Peacekeeper car. Capitol citezens would rather be in something much more sleek.

Katniss mentions this car in Catching Fire when they are being taken away from D11 I believe
‘As the train is pulling into the District 11 station, Cinna puts the finishing touches on my outfit, switching my orange hairband for one of
metallic gold and securing the mockingjay pin I wore in the arena to my dress. There’s no welcoming, committee on the platform, just a
squad of eight Peacekeepers who direct us into the back of an armored truck.
Effie sniffs as the door clanks closed behind us. “Really, you’d think we were all criminals,” she says.
Not all of us, Effie. Just me, I think.’
That’s the peacekeeper vehicle, not the capitol car.

This looks like a modified MaxxPro armored vehicle. The front side windows are the same weird shape, it has the two back windows with the door in the middle, and it has the same weird tapering roof as the MaxxPro.

But yeah, that makes sense, because the basic design principals that make modern armored vehicles resistant to mines and ambushes and the like would still apply in the distant future. In this picture you can see the thick armored glass and the elevated V-shaped hull, which protects against buried explosives.
OMG that so looks like a capitol car, it is soooo sinister!!!
