The Hunger Games make-up artist Conor McCullagh talked to Joey’s Dystopia! about legendary make-up artist Ve Neill inviting him onto the first film after seeing his work on the TV show Face Off. He also describes what it was like to work with Josh Hutcherson and recreates one of his most inventive designs: Peeta’s camouflaged arm in the training centre. If you’re looking for something fun to do this Hallowe’en, pay attention!

Joey! I live him
@Casey me too! When I saw the post I was like “Is that Joey?” THen I realized it was him and started freaking out
Haha Joey is awesome
I always thought the whole rock camouflage was kind of stupid, since none of it seemed like elements Peeta could gather while almost dying or even natural elements he could get from the arena.
In the book is just mud, so there it made sense :S
@Death2analog Ya I know I agree his face on the rock was just silly and completely unrealistic thing to do in his situation.
@Death2analog Well mud hardens like clay so maybe it could be a nice replacement of clay, but I agree with you I did think the same thing at first.
@Death2analog I laughed too when I saw the rock camouflage. I always assumed Peeta had covered himself with mud, moss and leaves to blend in with the ground, not paint his face to match it. It looked really cool so props to the makeup artist, but completely unrealistic. I thought maybe the movie would explain it a little better by hinting that he got paint in a parachute buuuut…he was just that good. Haha.
JOEY FLIPPING GRACEFFA!!! haha i love him
