Rumor: Filming Locations for ‘Catching Fire’ in Hawaii

News anchor Russ Bowen has tweeted possible locations for the ‘Catching Fire’ production once they move out to Hawaii with locations including Kawela Bay on the North Shore, He’eia State Park (Windward side), and Paradise Park (Manoa Valley, pictured above).
Since I work in Manoa Valley and live a mile from it, you can imagine my head exploding at the possibility that they’ll presumably be filming jungle scenes so close by. If the scenery above looks familiar, it’s because it’s where LOST filmed many of its ‘Others’ and jungle scenes.

Just kidding, but if you see anything or hear anything when filming starts, you have to inform us now! It’s like Mockingjay.net has a correspondant in the actual arena!
Ugh I don’t know. I’m too embarrassed to be taking set photos. If I were to get caught and told to leave I’m pretty sure I’d die of embarrassment.
No, I was kidding, I’d be the same. But maybe some of the cast members would find it a little funny.
But seriously though- you’re the closest anyone on this site could possibly be to the arena action. If you see any cast members wandering around or peacekeepers getting a coffee in local cafés, be sure to report on here! It’s so exciting, isn’t it?!

Hey @Crystal, do you know when exactly they’ll be done in Atlanta and moving to Hawaii? Just curious.
I live in Hawaii too, right by the North Shore! I was sssooooo excited when I foun out that they were filming here!! =)
I remember something about the 26th of November for Hawaii. Crystal I heard the crews are already there getting prepped for the shoot. You should go look for production signs. I wonder where that beach scene will be shot. fun times huh?
The beach scene is significant to the future of (The Hunger Games) Franchise.I know there a lot more to Catching Fire then the damm beach scene but, I’m a little worried about the lack of real romantic chemistry in the first movie. I love Josh Huctcherson He is the perfect Peeta he’s confident, humble, down to earth and a crowd pleaser but, I don’t ever think I seen a movie were He conveys any passion.
That picture looks so pretty! It would be so crazy if I were so close to anything so famous! I can’t wait to see the scenes in the movie!
