Hunger Games Fireside Chat Episode #83 – Four More Years?

Tonight is Episode #83 for Hunger Games Fireside Chat and with Election Day coming up tomorrow here in the United States, there’s a political line-up ahead and a great pun about Francis Lawrence on board for Mockingjay Parts 1 and 2.

- We’ll spend the first part of the show talking about the unexpected news that broke last Thursday: Catching Fire director Francis Lawrence will also be directing both Mockingjay films! We didn’t vote for him, but he was “re-elected” nonetheless.

- Since Election Day is nearly upon those of us in the U.S., we’ll spend the second half of the show discussing a variety of political topics:
Based on their views and ours, who would make a better president of Panem: Obama or Romney?
And who would be a better president of the U.S.: Snow or Coin?

“How do you think they do elections in Panem, if they even have them? Is it like a bloodline thing or do they have an election every few years?” (question submitted by Sym)

We may even revisit our infamous Snow vs. Coin debate.

Information on how you can listen to the show live or listen later on Hunger Games Fireside Chat.

I disagree with Adam at the beginning. I’d rather have Snow then Obama. Just kidding.

These past 4 years have been an unmitigated disaster. We can’t AFFORD 4 more years of Obama.

Well, Obama let those 4 Americans die in Benghazi after he had 3 hours to send in help from Italy… So Obama for Panem. I suppose Coin for US. She budgeted district 13s economy, so Coin.

They do have debates in Panem. President Snow won his election by poisoning all the other opponents.

I’m not sure if bringing politics into something like this was the best idea. People are very “protective” of their candidates and views, and this is just going to bring out the worst. Not a good decision at all for HGFC.

Not stating opinion on US President, but I think I’d rather Snow then Coin, my reason being is, if Snow was from dffernt tiem and lace he may have been a good leader, if you thin kabotu it he was a kid who grew up in the capitol so he grew up thinking it was right, Coin knew what she was doing was wrong but still did it.

It’s nice to know some people here think Obama’s a bad choice for president. I think that if people like Obama are president we probably will become like the Hunger Games in the future.

you guys need to realize when obama came into office he had alot of crap left for him from the past president and he is trying to fix it slowly one problem by one. but he did do some good things like stop A WAR!

Romney for panem because Obama has done good things but the bad things are overloading so he has a bad record so far. COIN for U.S.A because it’s not like Snow won fair and square. Poison, seriously dude. Yet I do have to say COIN freaked me out sometimes.
